    Abstract: A wind turbine generator nacelle (14) comprises a nacelle frame (44) having a first forward hub end and a second aft end. Dedicated transport fittings (46) are positioned at each of the ends of the nacelle frame (44). The fittings (46) are adapted to be engaged by transport frames (86) on first and second transport trailers (80) for supporting the nacelle frame (44) for transport by the trailers (80). A service platform (20) is mounted to the transport fittings (46) on the aft end of the nacelle frame (44) such that the service platform (20) is cantilevered off of the aft end of the nacelle frame (44).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for damping drive train oscillations of a VSM configured wind turbine. The method comprises determining a drive train damping power signal based on speed signal representing a generator speed, determining a power deviation based on a combination of a power reference for a desired power production, the drive train damping power-signal, a grid power supplied by the line side converter to the grid and a damping power, determining a virtual synchronous machine angle based on the power deviation so that the derivative of the virtual synchronous machine rotational speed is indicative of the power deviation, determining a converter reference for controlling the line side converter to generate the desired active power based on the virtual synchronous machine angle and a voltage reference for a voltage amplitude to be generated by the line side converter, and applying the converter reference to the line side converter.

    Abstract: Techniques for controlling rotor speed of a wind turbine. One technique includes defining a system model describing resonance dynamics of a wind turbine component, such as a wind turbine tower, where the system model has a nonlinear input term, e.g. a periodic forcing term. A transform is applied to the system model to obtain a transformed model for response oscillation amplitude of the wind turbine component, where the transformed model has a linear input term. A wind turbine model describing dynamics of the wind turbine is then defined, and includes the transformed model. A model-based control algorithm, e.g. model predictive control, is applied using the wind turbine model to determine at least one control output, e.g. generator torque, and the control output is used to control rotor speed of the wind turbine.

    Abstract: There is provided a wind turbine blade extending longitudinally in a spanwise direction between a root end and a tip end, and transversely in a chordwise direction between a 5 leading edge and a trailing edge. The wind turbine blade comprises an outer shell defining a substantially hollow interior, and a shear web arranged inside the outer shell and extending longitudinally in the spanwise direction. The shear web comprises an elongate web panel and a mounting flange extending along a longitudinal edge of the web panel, the mounting flange comprising an inboard end portion defining a root end of 10 the mounting flange and an outboard portion defining a tip end of the mounting flange. The outboard portion extends along a majority of the length of the elongate web panel. The inboard end portion of the mounting flange is bonded to an inner surface of the blade shell by a first adhesive, and the outboard portion of the mounting flange is bonded to the inner surface of the blade shell by a second adhesive. The first adhesive has a 15 lower elastic modulus than the second adhesive, and/or a chordwise width of the inboard end portion of the mounting flange is enlarged in comparison to a chordwise width of the outboard portion of the mounting flange adjacent to the inboard end portion.

    Abstract: Techniques for authenticating and authorising authorizing user access to a component of a power plant within a private network of a renewable power plant having wind turbine generators. One technique includes providing at a local computer system in the private network a list of credentials and authorizations representing a plurality of identifiers and authenticators of users and corresponding access authorizations. The local computer is in direct communication with components of the power plant and is configured to receive a request for access from a user via a computer interface in the component in the private network. If the requested access can be granted by consulting the list of credentials and authorizations, the grant is communicated from the local computer to the computer interface in the component, and in case access cannot be granted, a request for update of the list of credentials and authorizations is communicated from the local computer system to a central computer system outside the private network.

A sliding bearing connection with at least two axial sliding surfaces (9, 10) and at least one radial sliding surface (11) is arranged between the yaw claw (4) and a flange (8) arranged in the space defined by the yaw claw (4). At least one yaw drive (13) comprising a toothed gear (14) is arranged in meshing connection with a toothed yaw ring (12). The axially extending part (7) of the yaw claw (4) and the meshing connection between the toothed gear (14) and the toothed yaw ring (12) are arranged at the same side of the tower wall.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of controlling an electro-thermal heating system in a wind turbine blade, comprising measuring a supply voltage to the electro-thermal heating system, determining a duration of a variable time based enforced off period based on the measured supply voltage, and inserting the variable time based enforced off period between subsequent switching duty cycles that controls the electro-thermal heating system. The present invention also relates to a wind turbine that comprises one or more wind turbine blades wherein each wind turbine blade comprises an electro-thermal heating system and a processor adapted to perform the method.
