PURPOSE: A method for screening a material for treating dry skin is provided to prevent skin moisturizing and to recover skin barrier. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a material for treating dry skin comprises a step of screening candidate materials based on expression change of bleomycin hydolase(BH) gene. The gene expression level is measured by PCR. An external use skin composition contains LXR activator which enhances BH gene expression level as an active ingredient. The composition is used for treating dry skin or moisturizing skin.

PURPOSE: A method for evaluating transparent feeling of skin is provided to accurately and objectively evaluate the transparent degree of the skin in which cosmetic material is spread by using permeability of light. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate collecting a skin sample is obtained. The permeability of light of the first substrate is measured. The permeability of the light of the first substrate is the sum of the permeability of the light measured at 0degree and 90degrees of a polarizing filter. A second substrate coating the first substrate with cosmetic material is obtained. The permeability of the light of the second substrate is measured. The degree of relative permeability is calculated by using the permeability of the light of the first substrate and the second substrate.

PURPOSE: A method for evaluating persistency of an UV protection agent is provided to quickly and accurately evaluate the persistency. CONSTITUTION: A method for evaluating persistency of an UV protection agent comprises: a step of measuring the content of UV protection agent remaining in a skin sample on which the UV protection agent; a step of irradiating artificial UV ray onto the skin and measuring the content of the UV protection agent; and a step of calculating relative residual ratio of the UV protection agent.

PURPOSE: A method for measuring skin elasticity using a moire image is provided to conveniently calculate an objective elastic index of skin by measuring average the contour interval and angle value of subjects. CONSTITUTION: Moire images of a plurality of subjects are recorded. Landmarks are respectively set on the plurality of the moire images recorded. A representative image is manufactured by composing images so that the landmarks are overlapped. A contour interval in a composed representative moire image is calculated. An angle of the contour is measured. The elastic index of skin is calculated from the interval or angle of the contour. A preparation process for adopting skin for 15 minutes is operated under the constant temperature of 23°C and the constant humidity condition of the RH 40%.

PURPOSE: A method for evaluating skin moisturizing ability is provided to quickly and accurately distinguish CER(NS) in a horny substance and to screen a product for enhancing moisturizing ability. CONSTITUTION: A method for evaluating skin moisturizing ability comprises: a step of preparing a sample from a test person; a step of measuring TEWL(transepidermal water loss) of the sample; a step of measuring each content of 8 kinds of ceramides(C16Cer, C18Cer, C18:1Cer, C20Cer, C24Cer, C24:1Cer, C16SM and C18SM) by chromatography; a step of drawing correlation function of TEWL and each ceramide content; and a step of digitizing the skin moisturizing ability of the test person. The ceramide content is measured by UPLC-MS/MS-ESI.

PURPOSE: A capsule formulation with stabilized whitening ingredients and cosmetic composition for skin whitening is provided to effectively block swelling of a whitening agent due to water and surfactant. CONSTITUTION: A capsule formulation for whitening with whitening ingredients contains a lipid lamella layer and a polymer layer. The lipid lamella layer exists on a nucleating agent and contains ceramide, phospholipid, and whitening ingredients. The ceramide is natural ceramide or ceramide analogue. The phospholipid is selected from phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl serine, phosphatidyl glycerol, and phosphatidic acid. The whitening ingredients is selected from the group consisting of ellagic acid, Rabdosia Rubescens extract, Saxifraga furumiii extract, grape extract, Scutellariae radix extract, and acetyltetrapeptide-11.
