Abstract: A perfume composition including trans-linalool as an active ingredient is provided to reproduce the unique fragrance of Camellia japonica L. and to improve preference of the fragrance. A perfume composition comprises: 40-46 weight% of cis-linalool; 34-40 weight% of linalool oxide; 9.5-15.5 weight% of 1,8-cineol; 0.4-1.0 weight% of methyl salicylate; 0.1-0.3 weight% of nonanal; 0.3-0.5 weight% of acetoin; 0.04-0.06 weight% of diethyl disulfide; and 5.75-6.55 weight% of trans-linalool.
