    Abstract: Aqueous dye formulations which contain one or more sparingly water-soluble, or water-insoluble, phthalocyanine-sulfonamides of the formula where A is a (n+m)-valent radical of copper phthalocyanine, cobalt phthalocyanine or nickel phthalocyanine which may be substituted by up to 4 chlorine or bromine atoms, R is hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 5 carbon atoms or alkoxyalkyl of a total of 3 to 7 carbon atoms, R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic radical, or is a saturated 5-membered or 6-membered heterocyclic ring, X(+) is H(+), an alkali metal ion, (NH4)(+) or (where R and R1 have the above meanings), n is 2, 3 or 4 and m is 0 or 1, together with one or more conventional dispersing agents and humectants and with or without a disinfectant. The formulations give very fast prints and dyeings on cellulose and on cellulose-containing fibers.

    Abstract: 2-methyl - 2 - n-propyl-propylene-carbonate-(1 : 3) and 2 : 2-dimethyl-propylene-carbonate-(1 : 3) are made by reacting p phosgene with 2-methyl - 2 - n-propyl-propylene-diol-(1 : 3) and 2 : 2-dimethyl-propylene-diol-(1 : 3) respectively. 2 : 2 -dimethyl-propylene-sulphite-(1 : 3) is made by reacting 2 : 2-dimethyl-propylene-diol-(1 : 3) with thionyl chloride. 3-methoxy-ethylene-carbonate and a mixture of butylenecarbonate-(2 : 3) and butylene-carbonate-(1 : 2) are made by reacting carbon dioxide with 3-methoxy-propylene oxide and a mixture of the 1 : 2- and 2 : 3-butylene oxides respectively.ALSO:Anthraquinone dyes are made by interacting at a temperature between 80 DEG and 180 DEG C., 1:4- diaminoanthraquinone- 2:3-dicarboxylic acid imide with a compound of the formula IV or IVa or with a mixture of two or more such compounds wherein E is carbon or sulphur, R1 and R2 are hydrogen or alkyl and R3 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, vinyl, phenyl, p-tolyl, chloralkyl, bromalkyl or iodoalkyl, the alkyl and substituted alkyl groups containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The invention also comprises dyes of the formulae:- and mixtures of dyes of the formulae:- and and a mixture of dyes of the formulae:- and in which formulae R1, R2 and R3 have the values indicated above with the proviso that at least one of the substituents R1, R2 and R3 in each formula is not hydrogen. The dyes are dispersion dyes which dye and print films, foils and textile materials of polyethylene terephthalate or polyesters based on terephthalic acid and p-methylol-cyclohexane in blue to turquoise shades.     Abstract: The invention comprises dyes of the formula where X is a covalnte bond, a -CH2-group or an -NH- group and n is 2, 3 or 4. The dyes are made by reacting 1 : 4-diaminoanthraquinone-2 : 3-dicarboxylic acid imide at elevated temperatures with an amine of the formula Examples are given. The dyes dye textile materials of acrylonitrile polymers such as polya crylonitrile and copolymers of acrylonitrile with vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride or vinylidene chloride, polyethylene terephthalate and polyhexahydroterephthaloyl terephthalate in green to blue shades.
