Guided surface waveguide probes may transmit power on multiple frequencies with potentially overlapping service areas. Frequency-agile wireless power receivers may tune to one or more frequencies. Cost, availability, and/or other information may be provided to the wireless power receivers. Power usage may be reported by the wireless power receivers to power providers.

Una de estas modalidades incluye una punta de guía de ondas superficiales guiadas y una antena de hélice toroidal contraenrollada colocalizada con la punta de guía de ondas superficiales guiadas, en la cual la hélice toroidal contraenrollada comprende elementos anulares espaciados entre sí y enrollados alrededor de la punta de guía de ondas superficiales guiadas. El sistema además incluye una fuente de señales aplicada a por lo menos la punta de guía de ondas superficiales guiadas, en una manera tal en que la punta de guía de ondas superficiales guiadas y la hélice toroidal contraenrollada contribuyen con campos eléctricos verticales individuales para formar un patrón de radiación con base en las características de fase y amplitud de los campos eléctricos verticales individuales.
