Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for encoding/decoding a video. To this end, the method for decoding a video may include: generating a merge candidate list of a current block including at least one merge candidate corresponding to each of a plurality of reference picture lists; determining at least one piece of motion information by using the merge candidate list; and generating a prediction block of the current block by using the determined at least one piece of motion information.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for setting a reference picture index of a temporal merging candidate. An inter-picture prediction method using a temporal merging candidate can include the steps of: determining a reference picture index for a current block; and inducing a temporal merging candidate block of the current block and calculating a temporal merging candidate from the temporal merging candidate block, wherein the reference picture index of the temporal merging candidate can be calculated regardless of whether a block other than the current block is decoded. Accordingly, a video processing speed can be increased and video processing complexity can be reduced.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of decoding an image including determining whether a current block is in a bi-directional optical flow (BIO) mode, calculating gradient information of prediction samples of the current block when the current block is in the BIO mode, and generating a prediction block of the current block using the calculated gradient information, wherein the calculating of the gradient information of the prediction samples of the current block includes calculating the gradient information using at least one neighbor sample adjacent to the prediction samples.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of decoding an image. The method includes generating an inter prediction block by performing inter prediction with respect to a current block, generating an intra prediction block by performing intra prediction with respect to the current block, determining a first weight and a second weight, and generating a final prediction block by respectively applying the first weight and the second weight to the inter prediction block and the intra prediction block. The generating of the intra prediction block includes generating the intra prediction block using a predefined intra prediction mode.
