Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may monitor a downlink transmission for control information during a set of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring occasions. The UE may determine a first configuration for the set of PDCCH monitoring occasions during a slot of the downlink transmission and a threshold number of PDCCH candidates and/or a threshold number of non-overlapping CCEs within the slot. In some cases, the UE may also determine a threshold number of PDCCH candidates and/or non-overlapping control channel elements (CCEs) within a single PDCCH monitoring occasion. The threshold number of PDCCH candidates and non-overlapping CCEs may be fixed, based on the number of PDCCH monitoring occasions during the slot, based on a processing capability of the UE, or a combination thereof. The UE may decode control information contained in one or more of the PDCCH monitoring occasions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a set of channel state processes scheduled to be performed. The UE may receive a channel state feedback request corresponding to another set of channel state processes. The combination of the set of channel state processes and the other set of channel state processes may be greater than an amount that the UE may process at a given time. The UE may determine a priority for the channel state processes either on an individual or group basis. The UE may determine channel state process (es) to drop based on the determined priorities, and may perform the remaining channel state processes. The UE may generate and transmit a channel state feedback report message based on the performed channel state processes.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) receive a first control format indicator (CFI) value in a message that is not carried via a physical control format indicator channel (PCFICH); may determine whether the UE is operating using at least one of a first configuration with which the first CFI value is to be used or a second configuration with which a second CFI value, indicated in the PCFICH, is to be used; and may operate using at least one of the first CFI value or the second CFI value based at least in part on determining whether the UE is operating using the at least one of the first configuration or the second configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may identify that a last resource block of a resource allocation for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) is in a last allocable resource block group (RBG); and determine whether one or more additional resource blocks, subsequent to the last resource block, are included in the resource allocation for the PDSCH based at least in part on at least one of a reference signal type associated with the PDSCH, a quantity of the one or more additional resource blocks, or the DCI format associated with the PDSCH. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device such as a user equipment (UE) may receive a first downlink shared channel transmission over a first set of frequency resources in a first transmission time interval (TTI); receive a downlink control transmission including a grant of a second set of frequency resources of a second TTI for a second downlink shared channel transmission, the downlink control transmission including an indication that a demodulation reference signal of the first downlink shared channel transmission is reused for the second downlink shared channel transmission; determine to rate match the second downlink shared channel transmission around resources of the second set of frequency resources that are not part of the first set of frequency resources, and receive the second downlink shared channel transmission over a subset of the second set of frequency resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify that a scheduling request (SR) is to be transmitted on a first uplink control channel having a first transmission time interval (TTI) duration and identify that acknowledgment/negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) information is scheduled for transmission on a second uplink control channel having a second TTI duration greater than the first TTI duration, where the first uplink control channel and the second uplink control channel overlap in time. The UE may determine that the ACK/NACK information is to be transmitted with the SR on the first uplink control channel based on the overlapping first uplink control channel and second uplink control channel, and may determine resources of the first uplink control channel to be used for transmission of SR and ACK/NACK information. The UE may transmit the SR and the ACK/NACK information on the determined resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting node, such as a base station, may transmit downlink control information (DCI) to a user equipment (UE) using a number of shortened control channel elements (sCCEs). Each sCCE may consist of a number of shortened resource element groups (sREGs). The base station may map each sCCE to one or more sREGs using a mapping function to ensure that each sCCE is mapped to a unique set of sREGs (e.g., no single sREG is allocated to more than one sCCE). Use of the mapping function may further ensure that each sREG mapped to an sCCE is within a single symbol. The transmitting node may also configure a set of resource blocks (RBs) corresponding to the sREGs such that the number of RBs per symbol is an integer multiple of the number of sREGs per sCCE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communications. A first CSI reporting configuration may be used for communications using TTIs of a first duration and a second CSI reporting configuration may be used for communications using TTIs of a second duration. A determination of whether to report CSI based on the first and/or second configuration may be made, and a CSI report may be transmitted based on the determination. In some cases, CSI for the first CSI reporting configuration is determined differently than CSI for the second CSI reporting configuration. For instance, the CSI reporting configurations may use different reference resources and/or reference signal resources when calculating respective CSI. In some cases, the first and second CSI reporting configurations may be configured as a first CSI process and a second CSI process, which may be operated either independently or jointly.
