Abstract: A retractable hood or canopy attaches to the top portion of an internal or external backpack frame. Preferably, one or more exterior solar panels are mounted on the top of the hood and power one or more electric fans which cool the head of the backpacker while hiking. Two open-ended C-bands make up the internal frame structure of the hood. A waterproof cloth material covers these frame members. Mosquito netting is attached along the lower frame of the hood using hook and loop fastener material. An optional atomizing feature provides a further cooling effect to the head of a user by directing water onto the head of the user in the form of a cooling mist.

Abstract: Protection hat-fan against sunrays or rain which, by a diametrically folding, forms a fan used for ventilation when exceeding high temperatures and which, by repeated folding, may become of relatively small dimensions. The folding hat-fan may be realised in two variants: the first variant is of a pyramidal form made of cardboard, plastic, different knitting, so on, with edges more flexible than the triangular surfaces (1), allowing this way the hat to be half folded on any of the diametrically directions generated by the flexible edges (a) forming a fan and which by repeated folding may reach small dimensions (one triangular surface dimension). In both variants the hat will be provided on top of it with an orifice (b) in which a double cord (5) is introduced, each end of the said cord (5) being provided with an element (6, 7) ball shaped, tassel shaped, so on, with the role of attaching the hat on the head or of a hanger after the hat has been folded.

Abstract: An air cooled sunshade, e.g., umbrella, provides cooling under the canopy of the umbrella. The foldable canopy of the umbrella comprises of a plurality of segments of elongated panels that have embedded solar panels and a plurality of segments of foldable material to allow the canopy to easily stretch when in the open position and collapse in the closed position, typically arrange having one elongated panel connected on foldable material segment arranged around a center piece. In an embodiment of the invention the foldable material is formed as a pipe having an upper layer and a lower layer, the lower layer having pours through which air can flow to the area under the canopy. The air can then flow from a fan or an air conditioner mounted on the center piece and allowing air to evenly flow under the canopy. The solar panels are connected to provide the necessary energy.
