Abstract:
Disclosed is a grinding roller for waste tires and a multifunctional crusher having the grinding roller. The grinding roller comprises a roll shaft and a plurality of grinding components. The grinding components each comprise a grinding frame and grinding blocks mounted in grooves of the grinding frame. Each grinding block has a grinding surface that protrudes with respect to the grooves. Axial interval adjusting rings are disposed on the ring shaft for separating the grinding components at a predetermined distance to cut waste tires into blocks. The crusher comprises a box for housing the grinding roller. The box is provided with a material inlet and a material outlet. Axial blockers are mounted on the crusher to help grind waste tires into fine powder.
Abstract:
A method for comminuting heat-sensitive feedstock, particularly thermoplastics, rubber, caoutchouc, and elastomers, to a particle size of less than 500 μm, preferably less than 425 μm. Process steps are provided to achieve an economic material processing without the use of cryogenic comminution. First, a precomminution of the feedstock to a size smaller than 4 mm is performed in a rotating comminuting device through which a first process gas PG1 flows. Then, a fine grinding is performed of the precomminuted feedstock to a size smaller than 500 μm, preferably smaller than 425 μm, in a rotating fine grinding device through which a second process gas PG2 flows. Whereby the temperature of the precomminuted feedstock in the outlet of the fine grinding is regulated in a second control circuit by adding water to the precomminuted feedstock before and/or during and/or after the fine grinding.
Abstract:
The field of the invention is the recovery and recycling of materials, particularly the recycling of tyres. It relates particularly to a device for cleaning metal fibres comprising at least 2 coaxial cones, one fixed and one mobile in rotation, and means of moving said mobile cone.
Abstract:
A cutter assembly for a rotary, shear-type shredder including a cutting-tool carrier having a body possessing a rotational axis, a shear cutting tool, and a generally radial, sliding-friction-type, heat-cycle, binding interface removably anchoring the tool to the carrier body. This assembly is made by (a) forming a projection on one of the tool and the carrier, (b) forming a generally complementary, projection-receiving void space in the other of the tool and the carrier, whereby the projection and the void space nominally have an interference-fit relationship relative to one another, (c) creating a temperature differential between the tool and the carrier to an extent producing a clearance-fit relationship therebetween, (d) following that creating, fitting the projection snugly inside the void space, (e) reducing the created temperature differential toward zero, and (f) thereby establishing a robust, linear-sliding-friction anchoring interface between the tool and the carrier.
Abstract:
A tire size reduction/wire separation system comprising a drive shaft; a plurality of rotors mounted on the drive shaft, each rotor having axial slots with a rotor mounted knife removably secured within each slot; and an independent housing supporting the drive shaft and rotors. The independent housing has a central region with stationary knives. The roots and crests of the stationary knives are matingly oriented and respect to the roots and crests of the rotor mounted knives The independent housing also has lateral regions including an annual wear ring vertically secured to the axial ends of the rotors. Each lateral region also includes a wear liner with a circular opening with a diameter greater than the exterior diameter of the wear rings.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a crusher that is capable of crushing material such as waste rubber material under the conditions of room temperature without causing heating due to excessive friction, etc. The crusher of the invention comprises a pair of crushing panels, each crushing panel having crushing blades on the face opposing the other crushing panel; a charging port for charging material to be crushed into a space where the crushing panels oppose each other, the charging port being formed near the center of one of the crushing panels; and a driving part for rotating at least one of the crushing panels; wherein the angle formed by the pair of the crushing panels is smaller on the circumference side of the opposing faces of the crushing panels than on the central side of the opposing faces of the crushing panels.
Abstract:
A cutter wheel for tire shearing having a unitary annular core with radially inward shoulders on both sides of the radially outward central portion of the core. Pie-piece shaped cutter segments are mounted atop the shoulders of each core with each cutter segment having a base and a blade atop the base, with cutter segments overlapping in a serrated fashion, beyond the central portion of the core. The central portion of the core is smooth, serving as a spacer between adjacent cutter segments. Each blade is split into two side-by-side blade segments, with the laterally outward blade segment experiencing greatest wear. The laterally inward blade segment mounted to a pie-piece shaped cutter segment by radial bolts, while the laterally outward blade segment is fastened to the laterally inward blade segment by axial bolts.
Abstract:
A process for producing a rubber powder from a vulcanized rubber material by the steps of: a) feeding a grinding device with the vulcanized rubber material; b) contacting the vulcanized rubber material with at least one liquid coolant; c) introducing at least one grinding aid additive into the grinding device; d) operating the grinding device so as to grind the vulcanized rubber material to form a rubber powder, and e) discharging the rubber powder from the extruder.
Abstract:
A stable aqueous suspension of water-soluble polyacrylamide particles is in a saturated solution of an ammonium salt. The polyacrylamide particles are characterized by a particle size of about −150 mesh, and preferably −270 mesh, with −400 mesh most preferred. The suspension is at least about 2.5% by weight polyacrylamide. When the ammonium salt is ammonium sulfate, PAM concentrations as high as about 15% by weight can be achieved while still being easily flowable. The suspension is made by stirring the small particle PAM into the saturated ammonium salt solution. The PAM can be quickly dissolved to form a less concentrated PAM solution by adding the suspension to water or to a dilute solution, which can include calcium salts or other soil enhancers.
Abstract:
The invention provides methods of disintegrating or reducing the particle size of elemental materials, such as various forms of carbon, and organic crystals that contain minerals and that do not contain minerals. The method include the steps of entraining the material in a gas flow through an inlet of a housing, subjecting the flowing material to a plurality of alternating pressure increases and decreases within the housing, disintegrating the flowing material with the pressure increases and decreases, thereby reducing the mean particle size of the material, and discharging the disintegrated material though an outlet of the housing.
