Abstract:
A comb for spacing apart articles. The comb includes protrusions defining recesses therebetween. At least one of the protrusion is longer than the protrusion located just in front of it. Also, a method of spacing apart articles.
Abstract:
A gripper including a receiving end and a locking end and an absorber coupled to at least one of the ends configured to dampen contact forces imparted on the gripper, wherein the receiving end is shaped to marry a container body.
Abstract:
A device for transporting objects, preferably containers, along a transport path. A control unit is configured to operate the device in a first operating mode and in a second operating mode. In the first operating mode and in the second operating mode the objects are transported in each case by pairs which are formed in each case from one of the first movement devices and one of the second movement devices. In the first operating mode, the pairs are formed such that the first movement device is positioned in a direction of the transport path upstream of the second movement device of the respective pair. In the second operating mode, the positioning is reversed. The device advantageously makes it possible for different objects to be able to be transported without a mechanical adjustment relative to the format and for a relatively small spacing to be able to be achieved.
Abstract:
An adjustable container handling device for handling containers, such as beverage bottles. The abstract of the disclosure is submitted herewith as required by 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b). As stated in 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading “Abstract of the Disclosure.” The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. The abstract shall not be used for interpreting the scope of the claims. Therefore, any statements made relating to the abstract are not intended to limit the claims in any manner and should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any manner.
Abstract:
A transferring device for transferring and/or receiving cans, can blanks, or other containers out of or into a transferring or respectively receiving axis (U) which extends at an angle to a transport path (T), with multiple suction elements (3), which can be moved along the transport path (T) during transfer, each of which has at least one suction opening (4), and which can be connected to a negative pressure source, in order to retain the cans, can blanks, or other containers by means of suction during transport along the transport path (T), wherein the suction elements (3) are designed and/or arranged in a movable manner between a retracted and an extended position at least along some sections of the transferring and/or receiving axis (U), characterized in that the suction elements (3) are designed and arranged so as to be reversibly deformable during the movement along the transferring and/or receiving axis (U) such that the movement of the suction openings (4) together with the suctioned cans, can blanks or other containers is able to be brought about along the transferring and/or receiving axis (4), exclusively on the basis of the reversible deformation of the suction elements (3), said deformation being caused by the suction effect of the negative pressure source (5), and wherein a transfer path able to be overcome exclusively by deformation of the suction elements (3), for the cans, can blanks or other containers along the transferring and/or receiving axis (4) is at least 1 mm.
Abstract:
A conveyor and method for moving articles comprising a conductive material across a conveying surface using a touchless guide device disposed adjacent to a product path. The guide device generates a repelling force on a conveyed product to propel the conveyed product along the product path. Embodiments of the guide device include a linear induction motor and an array of alternating permanent magnets.
Abstract:
An endless conveyor belt comprises a number of links which are each coupled to an adjacent link by means of a hinge. Added to each link is a carrier which has a discrete, flat first carrying surface which consists of the outer surfaces of a number of mutually coupled plates extending with second mutual intermediate spaces in longitudinal direction of the conveyor belt, wherein corresponding plates of adjacent links lie in the same plane. In the second intermediate space there fits a row, extending in transverse direction, of fixedly disposed fingers which extend in longitudinal direction and form a discrete, flat second carrying surface which, at the position of co-action with the first carrying surface, lies in the same plane as this first carrying surface, which fingers are disposed at the end of the active part of the conveyor belt and can take over for further transport objects fed by this conveyor belt in sliding manner while being pushed by objects fed by this conveyor belt.
Abstract:
A device for grouping individually packaged goods which are fed in a substantially closed stream by the means of conveyance along a transport plane, and grouped by at least one divider finger which can be introduced from below transversely to the transport plane into the stream along the conveyance direction, where, for the at least one divider finger, a motor drive provided which is capable of carrying out in a free and adjustable manner a movement of the at least one divider finger transversely to the transport plane (z-direction) independently of the movement along the conveyance direction (y-direction) and vise versa.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for forming and separating successive batches of articles such as bottles, cans, etc. The invention includes a first driving system for receiving, at a feed station, articles driven by a first rotating transfer system. The speed of the first rotating transfer system is gradually accelerated so that, as articles arrive at an outlet station, the speed at the outlet station is equal to the outlet speed. The first driving system is then disengaged. A second driving system interfaces with a variable space defined by a control device between the first and second driving systems.
Abstract:
The object of this invention is a conveying unit with accumulation of containers (6), especially of bottles, comprising an accumulation table (2) equipped laterally with guide rails (12, 13) and composed of a juxtaposition of at least one feed conveyor (9) and one accumulation conveyor (10), the containers (6) being routed onto this table (2) at its upstream end via at least one feed transporter, and being discharged on the downstream end via at least one discharge transporter. Unit characterized in that at least one of the guide rails (12, 13) is equipped with a transverse offset (12a, 13a), composed of a segment of said guide rail (12, 13), with an amplitude (14) of between 0.2 and 0.8 times the diameter D of a container (6) and offset relative to the longitudinal axis (15) of said guide rail (12, 13) by a distance corresponding to said amplitude (14). The invention can be applied more particularly in the field of conveying containers.
