The present invention discloses a method and an elevator system (10), in which a passenger gives elevator calls with a personal terminal device (20). An elevator car (10aa, l10bb) is allocated to the passenger on the basis of an elevator call, the maximum time from the moment of giving the call to the moment the doors of the allocated elevator car will close on the call-giving floor is calculated. The aforementioned maximum time is sent to the terminal device (20) of the passenger for being presented to the passenger on the terminal device.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a control system for a plurality of groups of lifts (G1 - G5), according to which system the passenger can input his destination at any destination call input device (TE) without having to know which group of lifts (G1 - G5) serves the desired storey. In this way, in large buildings in which, for structural reasons, the ranges of storeys served by individual groups of lifts (G1 - G5) are disposed adjacent one another in a confused manner, the passenger's search for the appropriate lift is facilitated. The multiple group control system always selects the most favourable lift from all the available lifts and, when the storey ranges served by a plurality of groups of lifts (G1 - G5) overlap, the selection is made from all the possible lifts. If the passenger has to change lifts, the connecting lift is shown on a display.
Abstract:
A pre-call request corresponding to the elevator system is input remotely from a user terminal (100), and a corresponding call request is initiated based on the pre-call request when a distance between the user terminal and the elevator system meets a predetermined condition. A user does not need to perform a call operation in a process of approaching a building where an elevator system is located and entering the building to ride the elevator. Moreover, it takes a short time to wait for the elevator, thus achieving good user experience.

In a group supervisory control apparatus for elevators, car excluding means (31) for excluding a car based on door-open time period of an allocation candidate selecting section (130) receives information of a scheduled door-open waiting time period and a prediction boarding time interval with respect to each of a plurality of cars, from an allocation candidate selection index calculating section (120). The car excluding means (31) for excluding a car based on door-open time period uses the prediction boarding time interval and the scheduled door-open waiting time period for determining whether or not to exclude each of the plurality of cars from selection of an allocation candidate for a new landing call performed by a user.

The invention relates to a method and apparatus. In the method a target area is divided to a plurality of cells. A plurality of movement paths of mobile nodes are determined, each movement path comprising an origin cell and a target cell, the origin cell and the target cell being determined using a magnetic map of the target area. The durations of the plurality of movement paths are determined for an elevator user. A route topology data structure is formed using the plurality of movement paths and the durations of the plurality of movement paths, the data structure comprising for a plurality of cells an estimated time to reach an elevator location. An elevator call in a request cell is determined by a requesting mobile node. The time to reach the elevator location is determined using the data structure and information on the request cell, and an elevator car is selected to serve the elevator call based on the time to reach the elevator location, current positions of at least two elevator cars, and current directions of at the least two elevator cars.
