Abstract:
A call input device comprises at least one touch screen for entering at least one call for an elevator installation. At least one switch protrudes from at least one area of the call input device outside of the touch screen in at least one first input area of the touch screen.
Abstract:
A method for allocation of a user to a elevator installation, which is provided with a plurality of elevator cars and with a destination call control unit, wherein the user lodges a destination call at the destination control unit using a communications unit. The destination call control unit determines a group of elevator cars for serving the destination call and makes the group known to the user by the communications unit. The user selects an elevator car from the group by the communications unit. In addition, information for guiding the user to the selected elevator car is communicated to the user by the communications unit.
Abstract:
Provided is an elevator group control device which enables any special operation to be selected from a plurality of kinds of special operations by an operation in an elevator hall or in a place distant from the elevator hall. For this purpose, special operation input means for inputting information to the effect that any special operation is to be performed in the hall or in a place distant from the hall, a notification device which provides prescribed information by indications or sounds are installed in the elevator hall or in a place distant from the elevator hall. An elevator group control panel is provided with special operation storage means in which a plurality of kinds of special operations are stored. When information to the effect that a special operation is to be performed is inputted from the special operation input means, a special operation corresponding to the input information is selected from special operations stored in the special operation storage means, and information about the selected special operation is provided by the notification device.
Abstract:
An improved elevator system and control method thereof is provided for effectively scheduling elevator cars and reducing hoistway spaces. The elevator system of the present invention includes at least one hoistway and at least two elevator cars operating independently in the hoistway. The elevator system schedules multiple elevator cars for multiple calls on the basis of information obtained by analyzing various signals provided from the button panels installed at elevator cars and elevator entrances of a building, thereby improving operation efficiency of the elevator system.
Abstract:
A method and an elevator call entry system for calling an elevator in a building (1) to a passenger's (3) starting floor. The passenger's (3) arrival is detected by means of a first remote sensing device (5), which is placed at a first distance from the elevator. Next, an elevator call is generated to serve the passenger (3) detected by the remote sensing device (5). The call generated by the first remote sensing device (5) is confirmed on the basis of a detection made by a second remote sensing device (7), which is located at a second distance from the elevator, the second distance being shorter than the first distance.
Abstract:
The present invention deals with a method and an apparatus for the input call needed in an elevator system by means of a wireless call input device. The call input device may be a device provided with a display and a keypad, designed especially for this use. In a preferred embodiment, the call input device is the user's mobile telephone and the system utilizes technology consistent with the Bluetooth standard. RFID technology or the use of bar codes is also possible. For the user a profile is created which contains the user's name, statistical information regarding the destination floors most frequently selected by the user, and possible additional services. The user can input a call from an elevator lobby before arriving to the elevator. After the system has allocated the most suitable elevator to the user, corresponding information is presented on the display of the call input device. This information can be accompanied by guidance information and information about an estimated waiting time. The destination floor alternatives can also be programmed to the call input device by the user him/herself. Additional services can be provided to the user of the call system and to other parties working in the building by connecting the control system to the Internet e.g. via an embedded mobile telephone.
Abstract:
In the method of the present invention, a procedure and an apparatus for the entry of calls in an elevator system are described. In the method, a destination call is entered outside the elevator car if the starting floor is a floor with intensive departing traffic. On other floors, the customer first enters a collective-control up or down call in the traditional manner and then a destination call in the elevator car. In an example of the method, the above procedure additionally comprises a function whereby the elevator customer is identified and an identified regular customer is allowed to select and confirm his/her destination floor from among one or more preprogrammed alternatives. As preprogrammed floors, the destination floors most frequently used by the regular customer in question are stored, the starting floor being fixed. Preprogrammed floors can be set for several different starting floors separately. When the customer is an occasional user of the elevator system or when a regular user is going to floors other than the preprogrammed floors, a call is entered as a destination call in the elevator lobby on floors with intensive departing traffic and as an up or down call according to collective control in the elevator lobby and on other floors.
Abstract:
A method for allocating an elevator in a destination floor elevator system comprising an elevator group consisting of several elevators, a passenger data terminal for reserving elevators for use by passengers, an elevator group control system for controlling the elevators in response to signals from the passenger data terminal. The method of the invention comprises the following steps: the size and destination floor of the group of passengers are input into the control system of the elevator group, one or more elevators are allocated to the group of passengers by utilizing the size and destination floor of the group, and the members of the group of passengers are informed about the allocation.
Abstract:
A method for imputing a voice message recording for a particular floor served by an elevator car includes the steps of sensing elevator car positions (21), sensing that a selected car operating panel button has been held down (22) and enabling a voice input process (23). A device for displaying Braille information to an elevator user includes an elongated panel (42) having a central Braille character panel (31) and two buttons (32, 33) disposed at opposite ends of the elongated panel for causing the displayed information to move backward and forward. A plurality of actuators (38) and probes (35) extruding through the Braille panel form Braille characters.
Abstract:
A method for communication with a transportation system utilizes a human-machine interface with a control unit that constantly checks for the presence of contactlessly communicating information carriers. If a user with an information carrier is located in the reception range, the control unit requires the information carrier to transfer at least identification data of the user to the control unit. The control unit then displays an individualized communication surface matched to the respective user on the basis of the received data.
