Abstract:
A hot melt adhesive that contains fragrances is provided. The hot melt adhesive can be used to adhere packaging materials to one another and, upon exposure of the adhesive surface, releases a fragrance, in particular at low temperatures. A method for manufacturing such a hot melt adhesive is also provided, wherein the thermal stress from manufacture is kept low.
Abstract:
A packaging system for a consumable product held within a confined package. Plastic material is introduced within the confined packaging, preferably as a closure, seal or lining to the closed packaging. The plastic material has a surface that faces toward the consumable product within its packaging. The plastic material is fabricated from a composition that includes a plastic material and at least one scented material dissolved within that plastic material in a concentration in excess of its solubility at ambient temperature. The scented materials contained within the saturated plastic separates out of solution and migrates to the exposed surfaces of the plastic seal. The aroma volatiles are released from the plastic and fill the headspace of the packaging. These volatiles change the aromatic properties of the gases in the head space of the packaging.
Abstract:
Disclosed are paint scenting additive mixtures formulated to be introduced into paint compositions as a stable dispersion therein to produce a scented paint which provides a pleasant and long-lasting fragrance or aroma in an ambient surrounding where the scented paint is applied as well as processes for producing scented paints utilizing such additive mixtures and the scented products produced therewith.
Abstract:
Hot melt adhesives comprising an effective amount of a scented material having a closed cup flash point of greater than 100null F. The scented adhesive may preferably be an essential oil, most preferably an essential lavender oil.
Abstract:
An organopolysiloxane composition comprising (A) 5 to 99.9 wt % of a crosslinked product of organopolysiloxane which is liquid or gel-like at normal temperature containing organopolysiloxane having at least one silicon-bonded polyoxyalkylene group per molecule described by formula nullR1(OR2)mOR3, where R1 and R2 are independently selected alkylene groups, R3 is a group selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, alkyl groups, acyl groups, and an isocyanate group, and m is a positive integer, and (B) 95 to 0.1 wt % of a fragrance material. The composition has superior fragrance retention capability when used to impart fragrance to other compositions such as cosmetics, detergents, and lustering agents.
Abstract:
Plastic component (1) for releasing fragrance, comprising at least a first wall (2) with a first side (4) and a second side (5) characterized in that, a second wall (3) is formed at least partially in parallel with the first wall (2) wherein the first wall (2) is spaced apart from the second wall (3) by at least two partition walls.
Abstract:
A coated rubber composition includes a rubber composition coated with a liquid refresh agent selected from the group consisting of one or more liquid terpenes, limonene, carvone, pinene, pine needle oil, citral, orange oil, C9-C15 aliphatics, C9-C15 cycloaliphatics, ethyl lactate, dipentene, 1,8-cineole, eucalyptol, citronellol, geraniol, citronellene, terpinen-4-ol, and combinations thereof. A method of application and a coated rubber composition are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A polymeric composition comprising a copolymer obtained from at least one monomer comprising an ether group and at least one monomer not comprising an ether group, a compatible plasticizer and a volatile material is able to provide sustained delivery of the volatile material over a long period of time. Additionally, if the volatile material is a composition formed by several components of different volatility, the compositions of the present invention is able to provide a uniform release of all components of the volatile material.
