Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic PC resin composition excellent in fluidity and capable of giving moldings having a lowly anisotropic shrinkage and consequent improved dimensional stability and to provide a molding using the resin composition. SOLUTION: The aromatic PC resin composition comprises 100 pts.mass combined component comprising (A) 40 to 99 mass% aromatic PC resin or mixture of not less than 60 mass% aromatic PC resin with not more than 40 mass% fluidity improver and/or impact modifier and (B) 60 to 1 mass% silicic acid containing inorganic filler or mixture of not less than 35 mass% silicic acid-containing inorganic filler with not more than 65 mass% fibrous filler and (C) 0.05 to 3 pts.mass polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether group or polyoxyalkylene alkylaryl ether group-containing phosphoric mono- or di-ester represented by the formula: [R 1 -O-(C n H 2n O) m ] 3-x P(=O)-OH x (wherein R 1 is a 1 to 18C alkyl or a substituted phenyl group having a 1 to 18C alkyl group; n is 2 or 3; and x is 1 or 2). The molding comprising the resin composition is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
The instant invention provides an aqueous dispersion, a coating composition, coating layers and coated article made therefrom. The coating composition according to the present invention comprises: (1) the inventive aqueous dispersion comprising the melt blending product of: (a) from 50 to 99 percent by weight of one or more first polyesters, based on the total solid content of the dispersion, wherein said one or more first polyesters have an acid number in the range of from less than 15, for example less than 10, or in the alternative less than 5, based on the total solid content of the one or more first polyesters; (b) from 1 to 50 percent by weight of one or more stabilizing agents comprising at least one second polyester, based on the total solid content of the dispersion, wherein said second polyester has a carboxylic acid group and an acid number equal to or greater than 15, for example greater than 20, based on the solid content of the second polyester; (c) one or more neutralizing agents; and (d) from 15 to 90 percent by weight of water, based on the total weight of the dispersion; wherein said dispersion has a solid content of 10 to 85 percent, based on the total weight of the dispersion; and (2) one or more cross-linking agents.

Abstract:
Polymeric composites and methods of manufacturing polymeric composites are described. In one embodiment, a set of microcapsules containing a phase change material are mixed with a dispersing polymeric material to form a first blend. The dispersing polymeric material has a latent heat of at least 40 J/g and a transition temperature in the range of 0°C to 50°C. The first blend is processed to form a polymeric composite. The polymeric composite can be formed in a variety of shapes, such as pellets, fibers, flakes, sheets, films, rods, and so forth. The polymeric composite can be used as is or incorporated in various articles where a thermal regulating property is desired.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a friction-reducing lacquer for coating elastomers, composed of a lubricative substance and of a base friction-reducing lacquer composed of water, elastomer suspension, a polyurethane dispersion, flow control agents, defoamers, solids which impart a microcellular structure, and pigments, and also of further, typical lacquer additives, and to which different amounts of said lubricative substance are added in accordance with the application.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a polymer article that includes electrically conductive fibers to provide electrical electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and their method of manufacture. The invention includes a method for forming shielding materials by impregnating conductive fibers in a polymer material via direct injection of the conductive fibers into the extrusion process. The invention also includes EMI shielding polymers and products that are radio-frequency and electromagnetically shielded by parts formed of the shielding polymer.
