Abstract:
An elongate sleeve for protecting elongate members and method of construction thereof has a textile sleeve with a wall having an inner surface providing a cavity extending along a longitudinal axis of the sleeve for receiving the elongate members. A resilient support member is arranged in communication with the wall. The support member has an arcuate shape in lateral cross-section with an outer convex surface facing outwardly from the axis for flush engagement with the inner surface of the wall and an inner concave surface facing inwardly toward the axis. The support member extends less than completely about a circumference of the inner surface.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to personal protective equipment which serves as a safety device for maximally ensuring the safety of a worker in various construction and industrial fields, and more particularly, to an elastic safety rope which can prevent a worker working in a high place from falling, and/or protect the life of the worker in the event of a fall. The elastic safety rope comprises a core element, made of fiber yarn to be contractible, and an elastic tube placed around the circumferential outer surface of the core element in such a way as to compress the core element. The core element is made by weaving fiber yarn. The elastic tube is made by knitting elastic yarn.
Abstract:
A warp knit self-curling fabric and methods of construction thereof provides an elongate sleeve having overlapping edges for protecting elongate members. The fabric includes warp stitches and a plurality of weft stitches. The fabric comprises at least three yarns warp knit together, wherein one of the weft stitches is knit using a tricot stitch of a monofilament under tension to bias the fabric into a self-curled configuration about a central space. The monofilament forms an inner surface of the sleeve.

Abstract:
A knitted convolute protective sleeve is disclosed. The sleeve is knitted from filamentary members to form alternating crests and troughs lengthwise along the sleeve. The crests and troughs may be formed by alternatingly knitting segments from relatively stiff and relatively flexible filamentary members, by interlacing stiffening hoops at spaced intervals lengthwise along a knitted sleeve having a smaller nominal diameter than the hoops, or by varying the knitting parameters, such as loop density and loop length as a function of length along the sleeve.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a heavy-duty roundsling, which comprises an endless load-bearing core containing multiple turns of a strand material comprising high-performance fibres, and a protective cover made from interlaced strands comprising high-performance fibres, and wherein the mass ratio of high-performance fibres in the core to high-performance fibres in the cover is from 0.15 to 2.0. Said roundsling shows an advantageous combination of properties, like high strength, low weight, and high durability; enabling a higher number of lifting operations than known metal or synthetic slings, especially of heavy goods with e.g. sharp edges.

Abstract:
An elastic safety rope is provided to minimize the diameter and the contracting length of the safety rope and to reduce the weight of the safety rope when it is not used, to be handled conveniently. An elastic safety rope includes a core material(11) and an elastic tube(12). The core material is made of a fiber yarn and is able to expand and contract. The elastic tube is installed on the outer circumference of the core material and makes the core material expand and contract. The core material is formed by weaving fiber yarn. The elastic tube is made by knitting elastic yarn. The core material is folded in the transversal direction. The core material is sewn to make loops formed on both end portions. Hooks(30) or carabiner are connected to both ends of the safety rope.
