Abstract:
A method of pivoting an aircraft storage bin that includes a bucket that pivots with respect to an upper housing. The method includes pivoting the bucket from a closed position to an intermediate position and placing weight that exceeds a predetermined weight threshold in the bucket, thereby causing the bucket to move to an open position. Movement of the bucket to the open position causes a lift assist unit to activate. A first end of the lift assist unit is connected to the bucket and a second end of the lift assist unit is connected to the upper housing. The method also includes pivoting the bucket from the open position to the closed position. The lift assist unit provides assistance as the bucket is pivoting from the open position to the closed position.
Abstract:
A fixing device for fixing a second component part at a stationary first component part to be swivelable around a swiveling axis 2 having a cylinder that is displaceable transverse to the swiveling axis and filled with a fluid, a piston displaceably guided in the cylinder that divides the interior of the cylinder into a first working chamber and a second working chamber, with a first valve device that connects the first working chamber to the second working chamber when pressure in the first working chamber is higher than the pressure in the second working chamber, and a second valve device that connects the second working chamber to the first working chamber when pressure in the second working chamber is higher than the pressure in the first working chamber.
Abstract:
Device for opening cabinet door of cabinet body. Cabinet door is attached to cabinet body by self-closing hinges. Cabinet door is held in closed position at a small distance from the front of cabinet body. In order to allow cabinet door to be opened without gripping elements, without hindering the self-closing of the hinges, there is a unit having ejection piston with a locking apparatus and tension rod in cabinet body. Ejection piston is supported in the unit by compression spring, and tension rod is supported in the unit by tension spring. Ejection piston and tension rod are coupled to each other by a control apparatus having a freewheel, and thus by tapping on cabinet door the opening of cabinet door can be initiated and cabinet door can be brought into an intermediate position. In the intermediate position, cabinet door can be grasped by a hand and opened further.
Abstract:
A damping system comprises a door panel operably connected to a rail for movement along the rail. An apparatus is mounted to the rail for damping movement of the door along the rail at an end position. The damping apparatus comprises a base defining a chamber having a closed end and an open end, the base configured for securing the damping apparatus to the rail. A piston is slidably mounted in the chamber and extends from the open end of the base in a first position. The piston includes a cylinder, a piston head moveable within said cylinder, a piston rod connected to the piston head, and a compression spring disposed on the piston rod between the cylinder and closed end of the chamber. The damping apparatus is secured to the rail for engaging and slowing movement of the door panel in a direction along the rail at the position as the piston is moved in the direction from the first position to a second position.
Abstract:
Provided is a device for opening and closing a sliding door, of which collinearly placed doors slide respectively to overlap each other such that the sliding door is opened or closed. The device includes a sliding portion formed on a surface on which doors come into contact with each other in order to prevent the doors from interfering with each other when the doors are opened; a pair of rail frames formed on a top surface of the furniture and provided with a rail protruding upwardly such that each door is slid forward and backward on the rail, the rail having both sides in which bending portions are formed; and rotational members, each of which is installed to one side of a connection bracket to be rotatable in a curved section of the bending portion while being lifted and slid on the rail.
Abstract:
In a sliding door with a door panel supported by a carriage disposed on a guide rail so as to foe movable between spaced door stops, the door stops include shock absorbers and the carriage has contact elements for contact with the shock absorbers. The shock absorbers further include return springs which are compressed by the engagement of the sliding door panel, the sliding door panel being lockable in its end positions by a locking arrangement for retaining it in an end position.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a window regulator that reduces thrust-down noises by minimizing the moment of rising even when the window glass reaches the lower edge, and improves the durability of an elastic member. The window regulator (10) is provided with: a carrier plate (12) that holds the window glass; a guide rail (11) that freely guides the carrier plate up and down; a direction switching member (13) disposed at the top end of the guide rail; inner cables (16, 17) that pass over the direction changing member, and are connected to the carrier plate (12); and a drive mechanism (14) that reciprocatingly drives the inner cables. An elastic member (28) is disposed on the lower edge of the carrier plate (12). A receiving section (27), which comes into contact with the elastic member (28) and controls the descent of the carrier plate, is disposed on the drive mechanism (14) housing (25). The receiving section (27) has an inclined surface (44) inclined in such a manner as to rise with increasing distance from the guide rail.
Abstract:
A hinge damper is configured to be adhered to a door hinge of the furniture having a door to attenuate impact and is designed in a small size but to attenuate a large amount of impact. In the hinge damper, first and second seals are formed in an oil seal to prevent air from being introduced. A cross rib is formed on a piston to absorb a larger amount of impact with a small size. The hinge damper can be sized as small as a size of a screw used for fixing the hinge.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an actuating-arm drive (1) for cupboard doors (4). Said drive comprises an actuating arm (2) that is hinged to a door (4) and is subjected to the action of a spring (11). The actuating arm (2) can be tilted over a pivoting area that is delimited by two end positions. The actuating-arm drive (1) is equipped with at least one damper (18) that damps the tilting motion of the actuating arm before the latter (2) reaches the two end positions.
Abstract:
A braking and damping device for movable pieces of furniture has a fluid-cylinder (1) in which two pistons (2, 5) are arranged in a linearly displaceable manner. One of the pistons (2) is displaceable by a piston rod (3). Arranged between the two pistons (2, 5) is an elastically deformable sealing member, which, when damping occurs, is deformed by being squeezed between the two pistons (2, 5) and pressed against a cylinder wall (7).
