Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a dust plug for insertion into a fluid conduit system. The dust plug is comprised of an insertion end, removal means, and a hollow central body located between the insertion end and the removal means. The insertion end of the plug is formed as a solid flat end so that when the plug is inserted into the fluid conduit system, the hollow interior of the plug does not communicate with the interior of the system. Additionally, the removal means is preferably formed as a continuous lip about the end of the hollow central body.

Abstract: The present invention provides a retractable conduit, which includes two retaining brackets, two adapters, a sliding pipe, two elastic retainers, two dust covers, bolts and two O-rings. Abstract: The present invention is a high pressure quick connector especially for use in connecting brake lines of a vehicle. The connector includes a housing which selectively receives a tube retainer cap. Retaining means such as a garter spring or snap ring allow for a low force insertion of the cap into the housing with an very high pull-off force. The cap is used to trap a tube with a bead upset, and the tube may be removed after the cap is unlocked. A second way of releasing the tube includes the use of a tube retainer plug selectively received in the cap, the upset trapped between the plug and cap. The plug can be removed while the cap is still locked in the housing, releasing the tube. A release tool may be used to unlock the cap from the housing. An insertion indicator ring is used to establish the locking of the cap within the housing. A dust boot prevents contaminants from interfering with the operation of the connector.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a quick connect coupling including a tubular socket or receptacle part having an internal groove formed therein, a tubular nipple or insert part having an external groove formed thereon, and a snap ring. The nipple is insertable into the socket and when so inserted the two grooves are radially aligned. The snap ring is mounted in and extends between the two grooves to lock the socket and the nipple in assembled relation. Prior to final assembly, the snap ring is positioned in the socket groove, and in the space within the socket groove and around the snap ring is applied a relatively viscous fluid. This fluid, which may be a grease, holds the snap ring in the desired position in the groove prior to and during assembly, and it also serves as a lubricant on the ring which facilitates the assembly of the parts.The disclosure also describes the method of assembly of the coupling.

Abstract: This invention relates to a protective closure for threaded or non-threaded tubular articles or projections. This protective closure comprises a hollow cylindrical member having an open and a closed end and with at least one internal and one external circularly-shaped plateau. Joined to the open end of the cylindrical member is a flexible sleeve which can be folded back over the article which is to be protected. This folding ability of the sleeve serves as a locking device to retain the protective closure on certain tubular-shaped articles or projections. Abstract: An aseptic coupling arrangement can include a first coupling device and a second aseptic coupling device. In one embodiment, the first and second coupling devices are substantially similar, each having a main body defining a front face and a fluid passageway therethrough. A first connecting feature disposed on the main body of each coupling device may be provided for aligning and coupling the aseptic devices together. Each coupling device may also include a sealing member received in the main body and a membrane removably coupled to the main body front face to cover the sealing member. The first aseptic coupling device may also include a rotatable protective cover that is removably attached to the main body and connected to the membrane. In one embodiment, the removal of the protective covers away from two coupled main bodies, in a direction parallel to the front faces, causes removal of the membranes.
