Abstract:
A data recording apparatus (100) holds (S1509) device state information which is updated according to use of the apparatus and represents a use state of the apparatus, and device identification information unique to the apparatus. Upon recording data, the data recording apparatus acquires (S1502) information associated with generation of recording data, which is different from the device state information, as recording information, in association with the recording data. The apparatus generates (S1505 - S1507) unique identification information of the recording data based on the device identification information, the device state information, and the recording information, and records (S1508, S601 - S607)_a file including the recording data and the unique identification information in a recording medium.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus and an image processing apparatus are disclosed to provide various services to other one or more apparatuses connected thereto via a network. The image forming apparatus includes one or more hardware resources being configured to form an image, one or more programs executing an image formation process, a communication part communicating with a client, an image data conversion part converting a format of image data, and an image processing part, in response to a request from the client, using the image data conversion part to convert a format of image data.
Abstract:
A system and method for automatic creation of digital image albums. A Page Creator Module utilizes a genetic engine and a layout evaluation module. The genetic engine evolves a group of images to a plurality of album pages, based on certain layout criteria. The evaluation module calculates layout criteria and compares them with user preferences. When an acceptable image/page layout has been generated, the image/page assignments are transferred to an Image Placement Module. The Image Placement Module utilizes a second genetic engine, which evolves various criteria to generate page layouts genetic structures. These structures define the location, scale, and rotation of images placed on a given page. A layout evaluation module calculates and compares these layouts with certain other preferences and page requirements. When a suitable layout has been generated, a final album output is generated, which may be displayed, printed, or otherwise transferred for subsequent utilization. ' .
Abstract:
IFAX (1) determines whether IFAX transmission processing or network scanner processing should be performed based on whether a start button or a scanner button is pressed on after an operator inputs a destination mail address. In a case of performing IFAX transmission processing, a journal is superimposed on an original image and e-mail is transmitted to the IFAX (8) via a mail server (3) and across the internet (5) and LAN (6). While, in a case of performing network scanner processing, the IFAX (1) does not perform the creation of journal, bitmapping, compression, and combination with the original image. Therefore, the original image can be transferred to a PC (4) without superimposing the journal thereon. This prevents the trouble in which the journal hinders the PC (4) from dealing with the original image.
Abstract:
A photo printing system for transmitting image information including photo frame image data to a plurality of printers (P) through signal paths to print images, with a memory (41) for loading image information transmitted from an image input device (7), and a print order managing unit (50) for managing said image information on an order-by-order basis. The print order managing unit (50) includes a distributing unit (53) for applying printer IDs identifying the printers used, as attribute data, to the image information in the respective orders, a printer control unit (51) for checking an operating status of each of said printers, and a data output unit (54) for transmitting, based on a signal from said printer control unit, photo frame image data in an image file to be printed from said memory to one of said printers specified by the attribute data of said image file.
receiving means for receiving image data from an apparatus at a transmission site ; recording means for recording the image data received by said receiving means onto a recording sheet ; and setting means for setting a number of copies of the image data at a reception site.
Said recording means repeats a recording operation of received image data for one or plural pages times corresponding to the number set by said setting means.
Abstract:
Described herein is a holder (24) and a method of making an index print using the holder (24). The holder (24) comprises a plurality of sleeves (30) into which a filmstrip (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) can be placed. The method comprises the steps of inserting at least one filmstrip (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) into the holder (24), scanning the holder (24) so as to obtain a digital record representative of the images present on each filmstrip (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15), and printing the digital record so as to form an index print.
