    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily inject a chemical without being affected by the ascending flow in a solution tank by dipping a membrane module in a slurry of the chemical, separating a saturated soln. through the module and injecting the soln. into a specified place. CONSTITUTION:This injector consists of a tank 1 contg. a slaked lime slurry, etc., and a process pump 2. An agitator 3 is set in the tank 1, and an external pressure-type membrane module 4 is dipped. The module 4 is connected to the pump 2 through a liq. pipe 5 and further to the injection point from the outlet of the pump 2 through an injection pipeline 6 and an injection valve 7. The pump 2 is started when the soln. is injected, and the saturated soln. of slaked lime is sucked and filtered by the module 4 and supplied to the injection point through the pipeline 5, and the injection valve 7 of the pipeline 6. The amt. of the soln. to be injected is controlled by the speed of the pump 2.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture an inorganic microsphere consisting of a particle with small diameter by injecting an aqueous solution containing particle material into an organic solvent through a polymer membrane with a hydrophobic surface having through holes of almost uniform diameter which run through in a thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:The resin membrane surface of polycarbonate or polyester is made hydrophobia as a polymer membrane 12. These resins have through holes, with almost uniform hole diameter penetrating in a thickness direction, which are obtained by irradiating with a particle beam such as a neutron beam and etching a defective part generated subsequently, using an aqueous alkali solution. Next, an aqueous solution 11 containing particle material such as sulfate of the copper group element or silicate of the alkali metal, is injected into an organic solvent 25 such as n-hexane or benzene through a polymer membrane 12. Subsequently, an inorganic uniform microsphere consisting of a particle with a diameter of 0.01 to 500mum is produced with high efficiency and also is almost free from granular irregularity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To independently control liquid flow and gaseous flow by constituting a chemical reactor of a reactant gas region, a catalysis fluid region containing a catalyst and a microporous membrane separating the reactant gas region and the catalysis fluid region. CONSTITUTION: A housing 2 having at least two regions separated by the microporous membrane is provided and a catalyst bed is formed in one region. A shell-and-tube device 1 respectively having an entrance 4a and an exit 4b on the tube-side, an entrance 6a and an exit 6b on the shell-side is constituted. During operation, reactants diffuse through the membrane to catalyst particles. Catalytic reaction is caused on outer surfaces and/or in pores of catalyst particles and then reaction products are diffused from the catalyst particles into a catalysis fluid and are removed. The reaction products dissolving in a catalysis fluid phase is removed by a well-known method.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase contact area with fluid, lessen pressure loss and enhance conversion rate to formation fluid by providing a porous diaphragm with a number of continuous pores with selective gas penetrating power and with catalytic activity. CONSTITUTION:In case the porous diaphragm 11 is of singleply structure, that having a number of continuous pores less than 1,000Angstrom and catalytic component mixed inside almost uniformly is used. When the said diaphragm is to be constituted with inorganic materials, alumina, zirconia, zeolite, porous glass and the like may be used. Catalysts are selected in compliance with reaction process, and catalytic component is mixed with raw materials for diaphragm almost uniformly to form a desired shape or to form a porous diaphragm by adding catalytic component to a separating membrane of desired shape by means of impregnation, adsorptino or the like. The said diaphragm may be not only of single-ply structure, but also of two or three-ply structure utilizing porous substrates.
