Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of warpage in a disk substrate to enhance the quality of the disk substrate. SOLUTION: This disk mold comprises a first support plate, a first mirror surface plate attached to the first plate, a second support plate and a second mirror surface plate attached to the second support plate and arranged in opposed relation to the first mirror surface plate. At least one of the first and second mirror surface plates is equipped with a first plate and the second plate arranged so as to surround at least the front of the first plate. A temperature conditioning flow channel is formed to the surface opposed to the first support plate of the first plate and a heat insulating part is formed to the surface opposed to the first plate of the second plate corresponding to the temperature conditioning flow channel. Since the heat insulating part is formed, a heat distribution is uniformized in the first and second plates. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an envelope for a disk type storage medium capable of displaying index, as of the content of the disk type storage medium, while storing the medium compactly. SOLUTION: The envelope for disk type storage medium has an envelope body 1, and a flap 5 formed along the open edge 3e of the envelope body 1. In such an envelope, one or more index forming sections 6 are formed in the flap 5 along the opening edge 3e such that the edges, except the one edge of the flap 5, of the index forming sections are defined by corresponding cutting lines 6a. By cutting out each index forming section, except the one edge of the flap 5, along the cutting line 6, an index piece 61 is formed from the index forming section 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality archival optical recording medium which enables to obtain favorable recording/reproducing characteristics in high-speed recording and high-density recording. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium comprising at least a resin substrate, a recording layer containing an organic dye and a reflective layer is characterized in that the reflective layer has a first reflective layer and a second reflective layer in this order from the side close to the recording layer, the second reflective layer has lower thermal conductivity than that of the first reflective layer, and the first reflective layer is thicker than the second reflective layer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very high-density optical recording medium that has excellent jitter properties and good recording and reproducing properties. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 20 comprises a substrate 21 having guide grooves, a layer 23 consisting essentially of Ag and having a light reflective function, a recording layer 22 containing as a main component a coloring matter having the function of absorbing light at a recording reproducing light wavelength in an unrecorded state, and a cover layer 24 capable of transmitting recording and reproducing light made incident in the recording layer 22, in this order. An intermediate layer 30 containing at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ta, Nb, V, W, Mo, Cr, and Ti is provided between the layer 23 consisting essentially of Ag and having the light reflective function and the recording layer 22. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an optical recording medium having a dye recording layer uniform in film thickness between the inner peripheral side and the outer peripheral side of a substrate. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for an optical recording medium includes a process for forming a dye recording layer obtained by coating a solution containing an organic dye on a substrate by a spin coat method which is provided with a concentric or spiral groove, wherein nozzles which eject solution onto the rotating substrate having a radius R_disk (R_disk is 40 mm or more) are smoothly moved from the inner periphery to the outer periphery of the substrate, and the position R_stop to stop ejection of solution is made to be 30.0 mm≤R_stop≤R_disk-1.0 mm, and the average nozzle moving speed V during ejection is made to be 5 mm/s≤V≤15 mm/s. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which can suppress print slipping when printing touch recognition sections, such as braille or asperity sections. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 1 having an optical information recording and reproducing plane 2 and a printing surface 3 opposite to it, comprises projecting or recessing tactile reading sections 9, 10 formed on the printing surface 3, and spacers 11, 12 provided projecting from the printing surface 3 at least partly uneven in the circumferential direction of the optical recording medium 1 to prevent the contact of the information recording and reproducing surface 2, the printing surfaces 3, and the touch recognition sections 9, 10 when stacking the optical recording mediums 1 with the information recording and reproducing surfaces 2 facing the printing surfaces 3.
