Abstract:
The motion tracking method disclosed herein suggests a method for precisely tracking the motion of a scanning device by correcting the surrounding information distortedly recognized due to the time differences between pieces of information regarding the surroundings of the device over one scanning cycle. The method, as a motion tracking method of a scanning device collecting the surrounding information corresponding to a plurality of the points of the surroundings, includes collecting the surrounding information, obtaining the displacement data of the scanning device using the surrounding information, updating the velocity of the scanning device using the displacement data of the scanning device, correcting the surrounding information using the updated velocity of the scanning device, and determining location and position information of the scanning device using the corrected surrounding information. According to the method herein, the motion of the scanning device may be more precisely tracked because the surrounding information is corrected based on the velocity of the scanning device.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to Ti 3 AIC 2 composite material with high strength and a manufacturing process thereof, and particularly to TI 3 AlC 2 composite material with high strength prepared using a mixture of TiC x and Al powder by hot- pressing process, where the particle size of unreacted TiC y in Ti 3 AIC 2 matrix is controlled into nanometer size and the volumetric ratio of unreacted TiC y is adjusted by regulating the molar ratio of C in TiC x and the molar mixing ratio of TiC x / Al, and a manufacturing process thereof. Ti 3 AIC2 composite material in the present invention and a sintered material prepared using the composite material as disclosed herein are similar to or even superior to the conventional Ti 3 AlC 2 composite material in machinability, thermal, electrical and chemical properties, while remarkably improving the flexural strength of Ti 3 AIC 2 sintered material. Thus, the material herein is useful for essential functional material in future energy industry such as an interconnector or bipolar plate for a fuel cell.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for screening an inhibitory agent of HBV proliferation by measuring the interaction (binding strength) between capsid protein and surface protein, necessary for the proliferation of HBV, by using cellular imaging, more precisely a method for measuring changes on cellular imaging caused by the interaction between a fusion protein containing PreS domain of HBV surface protein and PH (Pleckstrin homology) domain sequence and a fusion protein containing capsid protein and fluorescence protein (GFP) interacting with the said fusion protein. The method of the present invention detecting the interaction between proteins necessary for HBV proliferation at cellular level can be effectively used for the screening of a novel inhibitory agent of HBV proliferation at cellular level.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a thermostable alpha-1-antitrypsin mutein with a disulfide bond and a preparation method of the same, more precisely an alpha-1-antitrypsin mutein with improved thermostability, compared with the conventional thermostable alpha-1-antitrypsin mutein (Korean Patent No. 133252), resulted from the process of substituting the 168th and 189th amino acids of the alpha-1-antitrypsin with cysteines which are then linked by a disulfide bond, with keeping its alpha-1-antitrypsin activity unchanged, and a preparing method of the same. The thermostable alpha-1-antitrypsin mutein with a disulfide bond of the invention can be effectively used for a protein based therapeutic agent which is very stable in vivo, and can be applied further in various fields including in the development of a diagnostic reagent and in the preparation of an affinity column.

The present invention relates to an airfoil-magnetic hybrid bearing, which is a combination of a magnetic bearing and airfoil bearing. An airfoil- magnetic hybrid bearing of the present invention comprises: a housing around a rotating shaft of a rotation device; an airfoil bearing positioned between the housing and the rotating shaft for forming dynamic pressure to levitate the rotating shaft during rotation of the rotating shaft; a magnetic bearing including a plurality of cores positioned radially between inner surface of the housing and outer surface of the airfoil bearing, the cores being projected to the center of the rotating shaft, and coils wound to the cores to levitate the rotating shaft using a magnetic attractive force generated by a current application thereto; and a coupling segment for coupling the airfoil bearing to the magnetic bearing directly.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing biobutanol by producing butyric acid using bacteria and then producing butanol through chemical catalysis using hydrogen produced along with butyric acid as byproduct. More specifically, provided is a method of culturing bacteria which produce butyric acid and hydrogen using the renewable resources, biomass or organic wastes as carbon source, esterifying the butyric acid produced by the bacteria with butanol using a chemical catalyst and converting it to butyl butyrate, and hydrogenating the butyl butyrate with the hydrogen to produce butanol. In accordance with the method for manufacturing biobutanol, the problem of inhibition of bacterial activity can be prevented because butyric acid-producing bacteria are cultured and butanol is produced through chemical catalysis using the butyric acid and hydrogen produced along with butyric acid as byproduct, and, therefore, the productivity and economy of biobutanol production can be improved.
