    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of accurately acquiring location information of a mobile device located in transportation means.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for estimating a location of a mobile device located in transportation means. The method includes: developing a first database by linking ID information of the transportation means with ID information of an access point (AP) installed in the transportation means (the AP installed in the transportation means is a mobile AP allowing access to a wireless WAN through WiFi); developing a second database by linking the ID information of the transportation means with service information (the service information includes at least route and timetable information) of the transportation means; acquiring WiFi reception information (the WiFi reception information includes ID information of an AP transmitting a WiFi signal) generated by the mobile device equipped with a WiFi module; extracting the ID information of the transportation means in which the mobile device is located, using the acquired WiFi reception information and the first database; and estimating a location of the mobile device using the extracted ID information of the transportation means and the second database.
