Abstract:
In known cash register drawers, the lid is drivingly linked to the money drawer so that it swings out when the money drawer is dranw out and shuts down when the money drawer is pushed in. The lid has a rotatably mounted toothed quadrant that engages a toothed rack arranged on the money drawer. Account settling irregularities can occur, in particular when the money drawer is withdrawn from the cash register box or when the money tray is withdrawn. The new cash register drawer should help to avoid such account settling irregularities. The money drawer (3) has a lid (14) that is linked to the money drawer (3) when this is pushed into the cash register box (2) and that can be removed from the cash register box (2) once it is locked to the money drawer. In a preferred development, the lid (14) has a compartment (50) for receiving an integrated circuit card, in particular a card conforming to ISO-standard 7816. This cash register drawer is appropriate for all kinds of cash registers, and can be preferably used in cash registers with frequent personnel replacements, as each money drawer can be allocated to a determined person. The cards can be used as identification cards to register an operator of the cash register.
Abstract:
In a process for evaluating binary data stored on the magnetic track of a magnetic storage card (10) in the form of flux changes in accordance with the two-frequency code, a relative movement (v) is produced between the magnetic storage card (10) and an electromagnetic transformer (30) which emits voltage pulses induced by the changes in magnetic flux. The time intervals between the voltage pulses are evaluated in order to obtain the data. To this end, stadardization is carried out with uniform preliminary data at the beginning of a scanning operation. The output signal (U) of the electromagnetic transformer (30) is converted to digital values at predetermined times. The digital values are stored in the sequence in which they are stored and evaluated in order to obtain the data.
Abstract:
An arrangement for the lateral positioning of a recording substrate (100) in a printing or copying device comprises a scanning device (S) to determine the actual position of the recording substrate and a motor-drivable roller arrangement of a counter-roller (201) and a pressure roller (205) which can be pivoted towards and away from the counter-roller (201) between which the recording substrate can be taken; in addition there is a device (E) for the controllable adjustment of the pressure of the pressure roller (205) against the counter-roller (201) along their lengths and an adjustment arrangement (P) which detects the actual position of the recording substrate (100) via scanning device (S) and, depending on a predetermined reference position, adjusts the pressure of the pressure roller (205) via said device (E). The arrangement is preferably used in the fixing station of an electrophotographic printer for the adjustable lateral positioning of the recording substrate (100).
Abstract:
A device for sending and receiving graphical documents via teletransmission lines comprises an input station (16), a withdrawal station (20) for single-sheet graphical original, a transport system which transports the graphical originals along a reading device from the input station (16) to the withdrawal station (20), an output station (32) for a printed print carrier and a transport system which transports the print carrier material from material supply station (60) along a printer to the output station (32). The output station (32) is located in the head region and the withdrawal station (20) in the base region of the device. Both the input station (16) and the withdrawal station (20) for the printed originals in the base region (8) of the device (2) are arranged on two opposite sides (3, 6) of the device so that the output station (32) in the head region (10) of the device (2) is located at a considerable distance from both the input station (16) and the withdrawal station (20). It is therefore impossible to mistake printed documents output with graphical originals.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a system for transmitting data in half-duplex operation between several subscriber stations (10, 12) in a local communications net, transmission taking place between a subscriber station (10 or 12) and a sub-station (18 or 20) by modulated electromagnetic radiation. The invention calls for data transmission between the sub-stations (18, 20) also by electromagnetic radiation. To transmit binary data, this radiation is impulse-modulated. The sub-stations (18, 20) each emit a pulse in response to the arrival of a pulse. Following arrival of a pulse, the stations (10, 12, 18, 20) are not in a condition to receive at least for a time T equal to the sum of (a) twice the pulse transit time ti between the emitter station and the receiver station located furthest away within emitter range R and (b) the pulse length tp. The new system is highly flexible and can be set up with simple resources.
Abstract:
A card-shaped plastic support (2) of a cleaning card for magnetic strip and chip card read-write devices is partially coated with a codeable material and with a soft cleaning material. The cleaning agent consists of a fiber flock comprising densely packed, glued individual fibers (6') protruding from said support in a substantially horizontal manner with a given length and diameter. The codeable material is printed several times as a pigmented silk screen ink in a silk screen process. Specific surface areas for the cleaning material are then coated with a dual component adhesive (8) on at least one side of the card in a silk screen process. Subsequently, the individual fibers are inserted in a substantially vertical manner into the adhesive layer covering the individual surface areas. The flat plastic support (2) with the coatings is subjected to a drying process, whereupon the non-adhering remaining fibers are washed out.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a document-printing arrangement (8) comprising one or a plurality of paper paths (10, 110) via which one or different continuous paper webs (20, 120) can be fed to a printing station (14) provided with a thermoprinting strip (32) and a print roller (34). In order to compensate conveying speed tolerances, a depression (66) is produced in the paper in front of the printing station (14).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a document-printing arrangement (8) with a cutting arrangement (16) and a document-collection station (22) which is designed as a drum (44) and is equipped with clamping elements (44). Proceeding from a rest position (-x DEG ), the drum (44) is accelerated such that, when it impinges on the front edge of a document below the clamping elements (44), the peripheral speed of the drum corresponds to the conveying speed of a paper-conveying arrangement (12).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for indicating the position of a peripheral equipment in an information system consisting, for a predetermined operation in the peripheral equipement, in setting a marker in a diagnostic system which can be queried and the address of which enables the position to be determined.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device and a method for controlling a dot matrix printing head driven by a step motor. According to the inventive method, the clock signals are generated by a timer activated through a direct access control, and while the printing head is moving steadily, i. e. when no direct access control is required, said direct access control executes the data transfer.
