SOLUTION: The display system includes the memory array including at least two data storage units using hot carrier stress to store data. Each data storage unit includes a first terminal, a second terminal, and a third terminal. When a first cross voltage between the second and the third terminals is close to or higher than a first threshold voltage; and a second cross voltage between the first and the third terminals is higher than a second threshold voltage, the data storage unit is in a first writing operation. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal layer containing liquid crystal molecules, a common electrode; and an electrode set which switches the liquid crystal layer installed between the common electrode and the electrode set. The electrode set includes a first electrode provided for switching of a first region of the liquid crystal layer and a second electrode provided for switching of a second region of the liquid crystal layer. The second region includes at least a region as a portion of the liquid crystal layer not including the first region, and the first electrode has a shape corresponding to the second electrode and aligns liquid crystal molecules substantially in two orthogonal directions. Each succession of first, second, and third sub-pixels of the first, second, and third sub-pixel types form a first sub-pixel group at the first row of respective rows, and a subsequent fourth sub-pixel of the fourth sub-pixel type on the same row forms a second sub-pixel group. In each row, the sub-pixel in a rightmost column is of the same sub-pixel type as the sub-pixel in a leftmost column of that row. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reading circuit for obtaining light intensity for improving the sensitivity of a touch panel in an optical display integrated touch panel.
