Abstract: PURPOSE: A colored porous concrete composition is provided, which has neutrality without using chemical neutralizers, various red-group colors and improved strength by adding fine loess powder to a conventional porous concrete. The resultant composition is applicable to porous concretes for water penetration, plants growth, sound absorbance and water purification CONSTITUTION: The red-colored porous concrete composition is prepared by the following steps: mixing 97-30pts.wt. of cement(pH12.0-13.5) and 3-70pts.wt. of fine loess powder(pH4.0-6.0) with 10-50%(based on powder component) of H2O, resulting in paste; adding 0-10%(based on powder component) water reducing agent and 0-20%(based on powder component) of resin; adding aggregates larger than 5mm or between 2.5-5mm in size; coating the aggregates with paste; curing. The used loess powder, obtained by drying at lower than 1000deg.C, comprises 30-65% of SiO2, 20-45% of Al2O3 and 2-20% of Fe2O3 and its size is less than 1mm.
