Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for preparing a biaxially oriented polyester film is provided, to improve transparency, the adhesive strength with an ink, a resin and aluminum and runnability by a low friction coefficient. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of coating a coating composition comprising 40-95 wt% of a water-dispersive acryl-based resin having a glass transition temperature of 20-50 deg.C and 0.1-50 wt% of a water-dispersive fluorine-based emulsion resin having a diameter of 0.02-5.0 micrometers and a melting point of 250 deg.C or less to one or both sides of a polyester film to form a coating layer with a thickness of 0.005-0.5 micrometers. Preferably the coating composition is coated after longitudinal direction stretching and before width direction stretching.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A catalyst composition for preparing polyester is provided, which enables preparation of resin having superior color and static electricity impressing characteristics during forming of film and has merits of minimizing content of heavy metal such as antimony. Abstract: PURPOSE: A biaxially oriented polyester film for magnetic recording medium, which is prepared using silica particles coated with specified metal oxide thereon is provided which has improved abrasion resistance and scratch resistance. CONSTITUTION: A film is prepared by adding 0.001 to 1.0% by weight of a mono-dispersed globular silica sol coated with a metal oxide having an average particle diameter of 5 to 200 nanometer to polyester, blending with 0.001 to 1.0% by weight of auxiliary particles having an average particle diameter of 0.3 to 3.0 micrometer and condensation polymerizing. The metal component of the metal oxide is aluminium and the auxiliary particles are at least one component selected from synthetic calcium carbonate, kaolin and globular silica. The film with excellent surface uniformity, running properties and slittability generates few scratches and low amounts of abrasion dust.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A biaxially oriented polyester laminating film is provided to have excellent drawing property and to satisfy low gloss and high roughness by producing a laminated three-structured film. CONSTITUTION: 5.0 to 115 micrometer particles are selected to adjust gloss inside a biaxially oriented polyester film and to adjust roughness of the film surface into a more regular roughness. A layer containing the particles becomes both surface layers(A,C) and a middle layer(B) is structured with polyester containing 1.0 to 3.0wt% of the 0.01 to 7.0 micrometer particles. The gross is from 0% and more than 0% to 45% and less than 45%. The average roughness is from 400nm and more than 400nm to 2000nm and less than 2000nm. Therefore, the biaxially oriented polyester film having excellent drawing property and prevented from tearing on a horizontal drawing process is produced by limiting the particles in the middle layer.
