Abstract: The device includes a semispherical magnet (3) having a semispherical face (1) and another magnet (6) having pole face (7) and an intermediate plate (11) between the two magnets. Magnetic force through the plate (7)attracts the two magnets on respective sides of the plate at a contact point (12) and the movement of magnet (6) in inclination relative to the face of the plate or the movement of the plate causes the semispherical magnet (3) to spin or revolve in association with the magnetic force (8) and the frictional resistance at the contact point (12). The device is useful for manipulating objects within an inaccessable tank from the exterior.
