PURPOSE: A broadcasting retransmission method is provided to supply information about retransmitted frequency bandwidth without additional spectrum sensing. CONSTITUTION: A host TV performs spectrum sensing about an idle band among not authorized band(S510). The host TV allocates a band by broadcasting channel to one part or the whole part among the idle bandwidth if the host TV searches the idle bandwidth through the spectrum sensing(S515). The host TB retransmits broadcasting by allocated band to a mobile phone(S520). The shot TV transmits the allocated band information to the mobile phone through an interactive channel(S525).

PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting reception devices capable of improving receiving performance and signal processing method thereof are provided to adjust the sequence of base data to be inserted in amount and pattern for synchronization and equalization. CONSTITUTION: A tuner unit receives a stream from a digital broadcasting receiver, and a demodulating unit(1510) demodulates the stream. An equalization unit(1520) equalizes the demodulated stream, and the stream includes an initial byte used in the initialization of a trellis encoding unit that has plural trellis encoders included in the digital broadcasting transmitter.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting reception devices capable of improving receiving performance and a signal processing method thereof are provided to improve the reception performance of digital broadcasting by improving the operational performance of an equalizer. CONSTITUTION: A demodulation unit(1510) receives and demodulates a stream, and an equalization unit(1520) equalizes the demodulated stream. The stream is transmitted from a digital broadcasting transmitter including an interleaving unit. The interleaving unit performs the interleaving operation of a stream in order for initial byte and base data to be arranged in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction. The stream has the structure where the initial byte and the base data are arranged in the first direction.

PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting transmitter, a digital broadcasting receiver and a method for processing streams thereof are provided to transmit and receive plural turbo streams by adding plural turbo streams to a normal stream. CONSTITUTION: A turbo processing unit(150) receives additional data streams, and processes the plural additional data streams to be robust to errors. A stuffer unit(160) generates a transmission stream by inserting the additional data streams to a normal stream. A trellis/parity correcting unit performs a trellis encoding operation of the transmission stream by using at least one internal memory, and resets an internal memory.

A digital broadcasting transmitter, a receiver and stream processing methods thereof are provided to distribute base data within a stream, thereby preventing that the base data is biased in a specific region. A base data insertion part(110) inserts base data into a stream. A trellis encoder(120) successively encodes the stream, inserted with the base data, by using plural trellis encoders. The base data insertion part inserts the base data into a location of a stream to be processed by at least one specific trellis encoder of the plural trellis encoders.

A digital transmitting/receiving apparatus which trasnceives a stream and a method for processing the stream are provided to notify a receiving side easily of mode information which indicates features of additional data transmitted with normal data by using at least one between field sync or an SIC(System Information Channel), combine and process a plurality of fields and transceive mode information of big size. In a digital transmitting apparatus, an adaptor unit(100) includes a space into which additional data is inserted. The additional data in the space is inserted into a transmission stream. A processing unit(200) includes mode information indicating features of the additional data in at least one of field sync and an SIC of a transmission stream.

A digital broadcasting system and a method thereof are provided to produce the dual transmission stream including the normal stream and the turbo stream, and to transmit/receive the produced dual transmission stream. A transmission stream generating device(100) multiplexes the normal stream and the turbo stream processed robustly compared to the normal stream, and then produces the dual transmission stream. A transmission device(200) inserts an addition reference signal into the dual transmission stream, reconstructs the dual transmission stream by performing the signal process relating to the turbo stream, and outputs the reconstructed dual transmission stream. A receiving device(300) receives the reconstructed dual transmission stream, decodes the normal stream and the turbo stream, respectively and restores the normal stream and the turbo stream. The transmission stream generating device includes a reed-solomon encoder for receiving the turbo stream from the outside and for performing the reed-solomon encoding relating to the turbo stream.

An apparatus and a method for generating a dual transport stream are provided to insert a turbo stream processed to form a region for parity insertion into a normal stream and generate the dual transport stream to improve the receiving performance of an ATSC(Advanced Television System Committee) VSB(Vestigial Side Band) type. A turbo preprocessing unit(420) receives a turbo stream and performs an encoding and data extension process for the received turbo stream. A turbo packet stuffer(430) receives a normal stream, inserts the turbo stream processed in the turbo preprocessing unit(420) into a certain region of the received normal stream, and generates a dual transport stream.
