The present invention relates to a method of a base station transmitting a reference signal in mobile communication system using beam forming. The method includes a step for determining beam forming information for transmitting a reference signal transmission beam determined differently in at least one of the transmission period and the beam width based on an area of reception regions where a plurality of transmission beams are received in a service region of the base station and a step for transmitting the reference signal transmission beam to corresponding reception regions according to the determined beam-forming information. A method for controlling the operation of a compact base station in a communication system comprises the following processes: a process of measuring the signal strength of nearby macro base stations; a process of transmitting a reference signal corresponding to the identifier of the compact base station at a predetermined point if the maximum value of the measured signal strength is smaller than a threshold value; and a process of operating the compact base station in operation mode if an activation signal is received through at least one terminal. PURPOSE: A nonvolatile memory device, a controller for controlling the same, and a controller operating method are provided to improve the data reliability of a nonvolatile memory by the operation of a memory controller. CONSTITUTION: A voltage generating circuit generates a hard decision read voltage and a soft decision read voltage. A random sequence generating circuit(50) generates a random sequence. A page buffer(35) is connected to a memory cell array through a bit line and includes a latch which stores hard decision data and soft decision data. A multiplexer circuit selectively transmits program data and the random sequence to the page buffer. A control logic unit(31) controls the random sequence generating circuit, the page buffer, and the multiplexer circuit.

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for processing a terminal category in a wireless communication system are provided to accurately utilize information according to network versions by preventing the malfunction of a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A terminal capability report message including a plurality of terminal categories are transmitted to a network(111). An RRC(Radio Resource Control) connection reconfiguration message including terminal category information is received from the network(117). PURPOSE: A method for reporting available power of a terminal and a device thereof are provided to enable the terminal using various wireless communication techniques to efficiently report an available power amount that a target system can use even though a power amount dynamically and frequently changes. CONSTITUTION: A terminal determines whether up-spike of an available power amount occurs when down spike of the available power amount does not occur(703,704). When the up-spike of the available power amount occurs, the terminal determines whether a power report prohibit timer operates(705). PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring system signal and a method thereof are provided to rapidly countermeasure channel state by neighbor signal measurement period by the channel state. CONSTITUTION: If a terminal is a DRX(Discontinuous Reception), the terminal determines whether a sub frame k is in neighbor signal measuring period or not(501,502). If the sub frame k is in the neighbor signal measuring period, the terminal performs signal measuring operation about the neighbor BSs(Base Stations)(503). The terminal reflects the past measurement value of the neighbor signal to the newly measured value in a specific ratio(504). PURPOSE: A method for controlling power of a terminal of a femto cell is provided to divide and group wireless resources which is shared between base stations in a time or frequency area and use transmission power in each base station according to a group, thereby effectively controlling interference between a terminal which is on communicating with a macro base station and a terminal which is on communicating with a micro base station. CONSTITUTION: An RF communication unit(510) changes a transmission power level to transmit sub frame to a base station. A priority determination unit(540A) determines a wireless resource group corresponding to the sub frame from the sub frame number. If the determined wireless resource group is a wireless resource group which a priority is given, a power controlling unit(540B) maximally sets transmission power. If the determined wireless resource group is not a wireless resource group which a priority is given, the power controlling unit set the transmission power lower than maximum transmission power.
