본 발명은 광대역 무선통신 시스템에서 IP(Internet Protocol) 주소 획득에 관한 것으로, 단말은, 단말의 초기화 시, 다중 FA(Multi FA : Multi Frequency Allocation) 접속을 위한 다수의 MAC(Media Access Control) 주소들 중 하나의 MAC 주소를 로딩하는 드라이버와, 상기 로딩된 MAC 주소를 MAC 계층의 상위 계층에서 사용하도록 등록하는 인터페이스부와, 적어도 하나의 FA에 대한 망 진입이 완료되면, 상기 등록된 MAC 주소를 이용하여 IP 주소를 획득하는 관리부를 포함하여, 다수의 MAC 주소들을 사용하여 각 FA를 독립적으로 운용함과 동시에 하나의 IP 주소를 사용하여 하나의 단말로 운용할 수 있다. 다중 FA(Multi Frequency Allocation), MFSE(Multi-FA Supporting Entity), IP 주소(IP Address), MAC 주소(MAC Address)

Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for supporting hybrid automatic repeat request in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to enable a receiving unit to obtain an additional frequency by allowing a transmitting unit to transmit packets through different kinds of FAs during initial transmission and retransmission when performing a CC method. CONSTITUTION: A method for supporting hybrid automatic repeat request in a broadband wireless communication system comprises the steps of: splitting one encoded packet into plural pieces(501); transmitting the plural split pieces through plural FAs(503); determining FAs that are supposed to be used when re-transmitting the encoded packet pieces if NACK(Non-ACKnowledge) is received for the encoded packet(505); and retransmitting the encoded pieces of the encoded packets through the determined FAs(507).

A feedback channel operation system and a method thereof for operating a feedback channel and minimizing the number of feedback channels are provided to operate the feedback channel without loss of cell capacity due to transmitting feedback channel allocation information by each user. A feedback channel is allocated to terminals positioned in a service area(303). According to the feedback channel information assigned, the common feedback channel information which is identically applied to terminals is transmitted to terminals(305). According to the feedback channel information assigned, sensitization information toward the common feedback channel of terminals allocating the feedback channel is transmitted among terminals to each terminal(307).

An apparatus and a method for executing handover in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to enable MAC(Media Access Control) addresses of an MS(Mobile Station), which executes multiple FA(Frequency Allocation) communication, to respectively access different FAs of an identical cell in case the MS executes handover. An MS, which supports multi-FA communication in a broadband wireless communication system, comprises a multiple FA controller(700), a first MAC processor(710), and a second MAC processor(720). The multiple FA controller controls the MAC processors so as to perform handover to different FAs of an identical base station respectively. The MAC processors have their respective MAC addresses. In case handover is determined, the first MAC processor generates handover start information to the multi-FA controller, and accesses an FA of a base station. Under the control of the multi-FA controller, the second MAC processor determines a target for handover in order to access another FA of the base station.

An apparatus and a method for extending the coverage of a broadcast channel using HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Request) in a wireless communication system are provided to enable a BS to transmit an MAP(Mobile Application Part) message including the type information of a long management message transmitted in a current frame and information about the retransmission of the long management message necessary for HARQ recombination to a terminal and enable the terminal receiving the MAP message to perform the HARQ recombination of the long management message. A method for extending the coverage of a broadcast channel using HARQ in a wireless communication system comprises the following steps of: receiving an MAP message from a BS(Base Station)(301); decoding the MAP message to check whether there is a data burst of which the CID type is broadcast CID or fragmentable broadcast CID out of data bursts transmitted to a downlink(303); determining whether there is an MAC(Media Access Control) management message to which HARQ can be applied out of the data bursts transmitted to the downlink; reading a corresponding long management message payload in a data buffer storage and combining the read payload and the payload of a newly received long management message(307); decoding the combined data(309); and checking whether the decoding is successfully completed(311); and storing the received long management message payload in the data buffer storage if the decoding fails(313).

A method and an apparatus for allocating sub channels in a communication system are provided to prevent degradation of performance due to a collision among sub channels by allocating some of the allocated sub channel as a pilot channel. An overall frequency band is divided into m sub channel groups which have respective sub channel group indexes. One of the sub channels includes n selected sub carriers in the respective sub channel groups corresponding to a sub channel group index sequence. When a signal transmitter transmits the same signals at first and second timings, a sub channel allocator(517) allocates the first sub channel by using the first sub channel group index sequence at the first timing. The first sub channel group index sequence is different from a second sub channel group index sequence which is used for allocating second sub channels at the second timing.

A multi-user multi-transceiving antenna system and a method are provided to enable plural receivers to generate feedback information by extracting channel states of grouped antennas connected with a transmitter and to send the generated information, thereby decreasing feedback capacities. When plural pilot signals are received from a transmitter(100), a receiver(200) generates feedback information by measuring quality of channels through which the plural pilot signals are transmitted, and transmits the generated feedback information to the transmitter(100). When the generated feedback information is received, the transmitter(100) analyzes the received feedback information to schedule streams transmitted to the receiver(200). The transmitter(100) consists of a controller(110), a feedback information processor(140), a coding and modulating unit(120) and a multi-outputting unit(130), and the receivers(200) comprises a quality measuring unit(210), a detecting unit(220), a multi-receiving unit(230) and a decoding modulator(240).

A method and an apparatus for a hybrid automatic repeat request using a log likelihood ratio in a mobile communication system are provided to improve an HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) signal detecting speed by reducing the number of repeated transmissions. An apparatus for a hybrid automatic repeat request using a log likelihood ratio in a mobile communication system includes a decoder(109), a CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) unit(111), and a repeat request unit. When a packet is received, the decoder decodes the packet according to a predetermined decoding scheme and outputs received bits to the CRC unit. The decoder calculates an LLR(Log Likelihood Ratio) bit of the received bits and outputs the result to the repeat request unit. When the packet is received, the CRC unit inspects an error from the received packet. When an error occurs in the received packet, the repeat request unit compares the calculated LLR value with an LLR threshold value, and determines a size of the packet to be retransmitted. The repeat request unit requests the retransmission of the packet of the determined size.

본 발명은 광대역 무선접속 통신망에서 다중 홉 시스템을 위한 핸드오버 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로 광대역 무선접속 통신망에서 다중 홉 시스템을 지원하는 핸드오버 장치에 있어서, 주변 기지국과 중계국의 정보를 포함하는 메시지를 주기적으로 방송하는 기지국과, 상기 기지국이 방송한 메시지를 수신한 후, 상기 메시지에 포함되어 있지 않은 기지국 또는 중계국이 있을 경우 상기 메시지에 포함하여 주기적으로 방송하는 중계국과, 상기 중계국이 방송한 메시지를 수신한 후, 스캔과정을 거쳐 상기 메시지에 포함되어 있지 않은 기지국 또는 중계국이 있을 경우, 핸드오버 할 기지국 또는 중계국의 후보에 포함한 후, 핸드오버 할 중계국 또는 기지국의 후보 정보를 생성하는 단말을 포함하는 것으로 다중 홉 시스템을 지원하는 광대역 무선접속 네트워크에서 단말이 핸드오버를 시도할 경우 발생할 수 있는 여러 경우에 대한 문제를 해결할 수 있는 이점이 있다.
