PURPOSE: An auxiliary device of a solid fuel supplying apparatus and a method for supplying solid fuel by using the same are provided to prevent erosion and breakage of the solid fuel supplying apparatus caused by the thermal impact and to facilitate the operation of a mechanical seal by preventing solid fuel from reversely flowing. CONSTITUTION: A gas chamber(12) is formed between a water jacket(14) and a small high-temperature reactor so as to prevent water from directly making contact with the water jacket(14) and the small high-temperature reactor and to prevent a contact portion between the water jacket(14) and the small high-temperature reactor from being broken. Gas is injected into a reaction area of the high-temperature reactor from the gas chamber(12). In order to prevent solid fuel from being reversely flowing, a bracket is installed between a solid fuel supplying apparatus and a mechanical seal.

PURPOSE: A flange insulator and a method for insulating a flange are provided to facilitate the insulating process and to allow the insulator to be completely restored even when the insulator is disassembled caused by the leakage of fluid. CONSTITUTION: A pipe(1) and a flange(2) are coupled to each other through a butt welding process. A flange insulator formed with an insulator(4) surrounding the end of the pipe(1) and the flange(2) is installed at an outer portion of the flange. Then, the flange insulator is fixed by a bolt. The flange insulator has a pipe insertion space and a flange insertion space at an inner portion thereof. The outer portion of the flange insulator is covered by the insulator(4). Then, a thin metal plate(6) is formed on the outer portion of the insulator(4). Two flange insulators are assembled with a pipe insulator(3) so as to insulate the flange.
