    Abstract: PURPOSE:To correctly form and detect plural bubbles at the same time by providing plural points to form, dissipate and/or detect the bubbles in noncontact by means of a light beam in a part of a bubble transfer path. CONSTITUTION:The recording element of the magnetic bubble is a magnetic bubble recording element in which a magnetic layer 11 for forming the magnetic bubble and a magnetic layer 12 to give a bias magnetic field for holding the magnetic bubble stable are provided on a substrate 10 on which the pattern of a magnetic bubble transfer path is formed, it has plural points to form, dissipate and/or detect the bubbles in noncontact by the light beam in a part of a bubble transfer path 13, and simultaneously, it has a position identifying means 22 to identify the positions of the points by a prescribed means on the surface of the magnetic bubble element. Namely, since, for the magnetic bubble recording element, the position identifying means 22 is arranged corresponding to the place of the information processing of the bubble and, simultaneously, a magnetic bubble recording and reproducing device executes a position matching with the magnetic bubble recording element in making the position identifying means 22 into an identification, the information of the magnetic bubble recording element can be correctly processed at a high speed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a compact protecting case for a magnetic bubble recording element excellent in portability by including a magnetic material for shielding an external magnetic field in the protecting case. CONSTITUTION:The protecting case 60 has an opening 61, a shutter 62 and an inserting groove 63 to a data device at both sides. The shutter is constantly closed at the time of carrying and opened only at the time of inserting into a recording and reproducing device. The shutter 62 and the protecting case 60 include the magnetic material for screening the external magnetic field such as iron. When a magnetic bubble card 50 having a magnetic bubble forming layer and a magnetic layer for applying a bias magnetic field to stably hold a bubble disposed on a substrate having the pattern of a magnetic bubble transfer path is stored in this protecting case, there is no fear of destroying data 51, but the case is compact and convenient for carrying.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit over writing by using a recording medium having four magnetic layers satisfying prescribed conditions, providing a magnetic field generating part on a position separate from a recording head and executing recording with binary laser power at the time of recording. CONSTITUTION:The four magnetic layers are so formed as to satisfy the following conditions when the magnetic wall energies of the 1st and 2nd magnetic layers 1, 2, the magnetic wall energies of the 2nd and 3rd magnetic layers 2, 3 and the magnetic wall energies of the 3rd and 4th magnetic layers 3, 4 are successively designated as sigmaw12, sigmaw22, and sigmaw34. The relations of the Curie points of the respective magnetic layers are first set at T1, T4>T2, T3; the relations of the coercive forces of the respective magnetic layers are set at H2>H4>H1, H3 and the relations of the film thicknesses of the respective magnetic layers are set at h1+h2>=250Angstrom , h1+h2+h3+h4>=600Angstrom . The relations of the saturation magnetizations, film thicknesses, coercive forces and magnetic wall energies of the respective magnetic layers are so set as expressed by equation I. The magnetic field generating part 34 is thereby provided on the position separate from the recording head 31 and the recording is executed by the binary laser power at the time of recording.

THCOMP and TH of the 2nd layer respectively at prescribed relations. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd magnetic layers 2, 3 are laminated on a pregrooved light transmissive substrate 1 and the relations HH>HL>sigmaW/2MS2h2 are maintained so that the magnetization of the finally completed pits can exist stably. The layers 2, 3 are preferably exchange-coupled when the magnitude of the effective bias magnetic field at the time of recording or the stability of the binary recording pits is considered. Furthermore, 1st kind of good preliminary recording [(b) (c)] is possible when 300 deg.C>TH-THCOMP is selected. Good over-writing is permitted by using the magneto-optical recording medium having two layers of the perpendicularly magnetized films satisfying these conditions, providing a magnetic field generating part 34 in the position separate from the position of a head 31 at the time of recording and executing recording with a binary laser.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a magneto-optical recording medium which has perpendicularly magnetized films of two-layered structure and is suitable for utilization in a recording method permitting overwriting by forming the above-mentioned recording medium in such a manner as to satisfy prescribed conditions. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic layers 2, 3 are laminated on a transparent substrate 1. The magnetic layer 2 has a low Curie point TL and high coercive force HH and the magnetic layer 3 has a high Curie point TH and low coercive force HL. The conditions expressed by the equation are required to be satisfied between the saturation magnetization MS2 and film thickness h2 of the magnetic layer 3 and the magnetic wall energy sigmaw between the two magnetic layers 2, 3. The magnetic layer 3 is required to satisfy TL 0.5. The purpose is achieved by satisfying the above-mentioned conditions.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform satisfactory overwrite by giving a composition rich in transition metals to one of first and second magnetic layers relatively to a compensation composition and giving a composition rich in rare-earth elements to the other relatively to the compensation composition. CONSTITUTION:A composition rich in transition metals is given to one of first and second magnetic layers 2 and 3 relatively to the compensation composition, and a composition rich in rare-earth elements is given to the other relatively to the compensation composition. That is, the first magnetic layer 2, the second magnetic layer 3, and a protective film 4 are laminated on a light-transmissive substrate 1 provided with a pregroup. The first magnetic layer 2 has a low Curie point and a strong coercive force, and the second magnetic layer 3 has a high Curie point and a weak coercive force. In the magneto-optical recording method, the magneto-optic effect of the first magnetic layer 2 is mainly used for reproducing and the second magnetic layer 3 plays an important part for recording. Thus, satisfactory overwrite is performed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit overlap writing and to improve reliability of recording by providing protective films consisting of the same material on both outsides of perpendicularly magnetized films having two-layered structures. CONSTITUTION:The 1st protective film 1, a 1st magnetic layer 2, a 2nd magnetic layer 3 and the 2nd protective film 4 are laminated on a pregrooved light transmissive substrate B1. The magnetic layer 2 is so formed as to have a lower Curie point (TL, e.g., 70-180 deg.C) and high coercive force (HH, e.g., 3-10kOe) and the magnetic layer 3 is so formed as to have a high Curie point (TH, e.g., 150-400 deg.C) and low coercive force (HL, e.g., 0.5-2kOe). The protective films 1, 4 are continuous films consisting of the same material (e.g., Si3N4, SiC, ZnS, etc.) and are formed to >=200Angstrom thickness. The relation HH>HL>sigmaw/2Msh is provided between the saturation magnetization Ms and film thickness (h) of the magnetic layer 3 and the magnetic wall energy sigmaw between the magnetic layers 2, 3. The sufficiently stable recording is thereby permitted and in addition, the recording bits are stably maintained for a long period of time.

A character 3 of 'Level 1' given to the label 2 is an example of a code, a symbol or a character representing the recording condition (laser power strength or auxiliary magnetic field strength or the like suitable for the recording) of an photomagnetic recording medium. The code, symbol or character representing the recording condition is given directly to a part of the main body 1 but it is taken into consideration that the function as the recording medium of the main body is not hindered by the recording condition. Thus, the recording with high reliability is executed by anybody without any preparatory job such as the selection of the recording condition.
