Abstract: An image processing apparatus has CCDs for reading image data of an original, an edge detector for detecting edges of an area specified on the original with a loop or marks of a specific color, an area detector for detecting the specified area, memories for storing the image data read by the CCDs, and a data selector and a data switching circuit for selecting the image data read by one of the CCDs which is to be supplied to an inkjet head for recording. For preventing contamination of the original, the loop or marks can be drawn on the original through an original cover including a transparent or semitransparent sheet member facing the image of the original. Images inside and outside the area or areas can be selectively reproduced in various combinations of the normal mode, red output modes involving different types of color conversion, and extinguishing mode. Image data from another source which is stored in another memory can be inserted at a desired part of the reproduced copy.

Abstract: A printing apparatus or system has CCDs for reading out image data from an original or originals, a memory for storing the image data, a plurality of recording sections with recording heads, a control for controlling the overall circuitry and mechanical parts. A desired number of copies in black or in color can be produced within a short period of time in accordance with the size of the original image and/or color. A red image which does not require high resolution as much as a black image is automatically reproduced with lower resolution while maintaining high resolution at black portion of the same image. A plurality of recording sections may be equally used for printing only a small number of copies.

Dichromatic or polychromatic recording may be freely selected or combined with monochromatic recording by selecting feed paths and an auxiliary path for guiding the recording paper sheet.

And a main control system 104 has an input device 105 for inputting exposure state, a data output interface 107 for outputting exposure state and a display section 106 graphically indicating the exposure state. Also, it receives data such as pulse light emission intensity, stage position and focus state and performs the control processing operation to achieve target exposure input to the input device 105 by using these data.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To accurately control an exposure quantity from the laser emission start of a scanning aligner by estimating the emission strength of pulsed light and controlling the emission time of the pulsed light according to the estimated value. CONSTITUTION: An illuminance monitor signal outputted from an exposure quantity calculator 102 is latched by a sample hold circuit, and the emission strength is recorded in a cache memory. In the cache memory, all emission strength values measured in a time for exposing one shot by scanning exposure are recorded. The data stored in the cache memory is transferred to a major control system 104 as a strength measurement table for one shot. A laser control system 103 outputs a trigger signal 201 and a discharge voltage signal 202 to an excimer laser 1 in response to a desired exposure quantity, controls the laser power and the emission interval, controls the emission time of a pulse laser light source, estimates the emission strength and feeds forward the estimated emission strength at the emission time.
