    Abstract: Machine-readable media, methods, apparatus and system for beam acquisition in a wireless system are disclosed. In some embodiments, a base station may comprise a transceiver to transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a plurality of beam reference signals (BRSs) via a plurality of transmission beams; and to receive, from the UE, a report to report receiving information associated with at least one of the BRSs on at least one of the transmission beams, wherein the report comprises an antenna identifier to identify a directional antenna panel or an antenna port associated with the directional antenna panel of the UE which receives the at least one of the BRSs on the at least one of the transmission beam.

    Abstract: An apparatus is configured to be employed within a base station. The apparatus comprises baseband circuitry which includes a radio frequency (RF) interface and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to arrange phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) resource elements (REs) and data REs as an arrangement for a transmission based on one or more diversity factors. The one or more diversity factors include a time domain and a frequency domain.     Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable for beam management is disclosed. The UE can be configured to decode, at the UE, a transmission configuration indicator (TCI), wherein the TCI is configured for a control channel and a data channel for all bandwidth parts (BWPs) of the UE or all component carriers (CCs) of the UE. The UE can be configured to decode, at the UE, a synchronization signal block (SSB) or a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) for beam management with a repetition parameter set to “ON” transmitted in one BWP or one CC in a first set of symbols. The UE can be configured to identify, at the UE, a scheduling restriction for the first set of symbols for the control channel and the data channel, wherein the scheduling restriction indicates that downlink transmission in the first set of symbols is not expected.

    Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate handling of DL (Downlink) control and data channels having different numerologies in NR (New Radio). One example embodiment comprises an apparatus employable by a UE (User Equipment) configured to generate a report comprising capability information associated with the UE, wherein the capability information indicates whether the UE supports multiplexing of multiple numerologies within a common symbol in a FDM (Frequency Division Multiplexing)-based manner; process first higher layer signaling that configures one or more control resource sets of a NR (New Radio) PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel), wherein the one or more control resource sets are associated with one or more numerologies in accordance with the UE capability information; and demodulate a NR PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel) from a resource distinct from resources of the NR PDCCH.

    Abstract: Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, an apparatus of a user equipment (UE) comprising circuitry to receive a Beamforming Reference Signal (BRS) transmission from an evolved NodeB (eNB) via one or more transmission beams, divide the one or more transmission beams into one or more transmission beam sets, wherein a transmission beam set comprises a number of consecutive orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, scan consecutive receiving beams for corresponding transmission beam sets to obtain channel measurements to select a transmission beam and a receiving beam based at least in part on the channel measurements, and receive transmissions from the eNB using the selected transmission beam and the selected receiving beam.
