    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an uncomfortable feeling caused by a cold air feeling when a heating operation is started by a method wherein when the heating operation is started, hot air is distributed to a communication hole arranged in a double floor and an auxiliary indoor blowing port, a part of the hot air is returned back from a recirculation port to a heat exchanger so as to heat it again. CONSTITUTION:When a heating operation is started, hot air is distributed by a blowing amount distribution means (damper) 32 into an auxiliary blowing port 34 opened into an indoor area and a communication hole 37 at an optional location in a double floor 36. A part of the hot air is returned back from a recirculation port 41 to a heat exchanger 27 and then the air is heat exchanged again. With such an arrangement the hot air is concurrently blown from an upper part and a lower part. As a result, an uncomfortable feeling caused by a cold air feeling when the heating operation is started can be prevented and at the same time the temperature can be approached to a set temperature more rapidly.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the indoor temperature distribution ideal with more warmth around the lower part of the body than the upper part by a method wherein an indoor machine capable of switching the outlet for air according to heat or cooling is provided, the indoor machine is made to communicate with the void in a double floor, openings are formed in the ceiling board as passage through which the ceiling chamber communicates with the room, and openings are formed in the double floor as passages connecting the void to the room. CONSTITUTION:In heating, a fan 23 rotates in the normal direction; the indoor air is sucked through openings-ceiling 31 and into an upper outlet 28, and by undergoing heat exchange at a heat exchanger 21, the air turns to warm air. The warmed air flows into an air duct 26 through a connection port 25 and is conveyed through a lower outlet 30 to a void 14 in a double floor 5; through openings-in-floor 15 bored in the double floor 5 the warmed air is ejected into the room, mainly into a living region 6 therein, at very low air speed. The warmed air thus ejected warms the living region 6 and then flows through openings-in-ceiling 31 into a ceiling chamber 16 and sucked into the upper outlet 28. In coding, the fan 23 rotates in reverse so that the indoor air is sucked through the openings-in-floor 15 into the void 14; then through the lower outlet 30 into the air duct 26, and through the connection port 25 into the indoor machine 19.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To raise the temperature of the room quickly to a set point, when the heating operation is started, by forming an opening at an end of a double floor as a passage to the room and by dividing the ejected air into two flows, one being sent through an outlet open to the room and the other being sent through a lower outlet open to an underlying space. CONSTITUTION:When the heating operatio is started, a damper 32 is actuated to divided warmed air into a flow to be sent through a lower outlet 31 and another flow to be sent through an air duct 33 at the start of heating; the warmed air is sent through the lower outlet 31 and through an outlet-at-the-start-of-heating 34. The warmed air ejected through lower outlet 31 flows through an underlying space 36 and is ejected through a vent 37 so that the warmed air warms the living space 24 from under. Simultaneously the warmed air ejected through the outlet-at-the-start-of- heating 34 warms the living space 24 from above so that the temperature can be raised to a set point quickly. In cooling, a blower 28 is designed to rotate oppositely to the rotation for heating; the air flows upward; it is cooled as it passes a heat exchanger 27 and the ejected upward from an upper outlet 30. The cooled air, which has been discharged upward, flows through the underlying space 36 in the double floor 35 and sucked in through the lower outlet 31.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the indoor temperature distribution ideal with more warmth around the lower part of the body than the upper part by providing a means for switching the outlet for air between an upper outlet as a passage to a room and a lower outlet from an air duct according to heating or cooling and by forming in a double floor a vent at an end as a passage to the room and openings at desirable positions as passages to the room. CONSTITUTION:There are provided an indoor machine 21 installed close to the ceiling 18, an air duct 27 having a length extending from the lower part of the indoor machine and reaching the void 33 of a double floor 32, an upper outlet 28 for air as a passage to the room on the front of the indoor machine, a lower outlet 31 for air from the air duct as a passage to the void 33, an outlet switching means 24 for switching between these outlets according to the operation mode of heating or cooling, a vent 34 as a passage to the room formed in the double floor at an end, and openings 35 as passages to the room at desirable positions. With this constitution in heating, warm air is sent out through the vent 34 at the end of the double floor 38 and through the openings 35 located as desired, thus effecting heating by air of a low speed ejected from under the room, whereas, in cooling, cool air is ejected from the upper outlet 28 located close to the ceiling in the indoor machine, sent flowing along the ceiling, and sucked through the vent and the openings provided in the double floor. Thus an ideal warm environment giving more warmth to the lower part of the body than the upper part can be produced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To get a hot heat environment having a superior distribution of temperature in both cooling and heating operations by a method wherein several openings arranged in a double floor are installed near an end part spaced apart from a lower diffuser mounting position. CONSTITUTION:Several openings 17a.....17x formed in a double floor 14 to make a room 6 communicate with a hollow part 15 are arranged near the end part spaced apart from a lower diffuser 9 of an indoor device 1 and a fewer openings are arranged near the lower diffuser 9. During a cooling operation, a fan 11 is rotated in a normal direction, the air flows upwardly, passes through a heat exchanger 10, the cooled air strikes against a ceiling from an upper diffuser 8, descends and then the cooled air is sucked through the openings 17a.....17x and further sucked through the lower diffuser 9. During a heating operation, the fan 11 is rotated in a reverse direction, hot air is blown out from the lower diffuser 9, the hot air passes through a hollow part 15 of a double floor 14, the air is blown from the openings 17a.....17x into a room at a fine slow speed, the air is sucked again by the fan 11 through the lower diffuser 9. Since there is a small number of openings 17a.....17x near the lower diffuser 9, an amount of air sucked through the openings near the lower diffuser 9 or blown out into a room is reduced. Accordingly, a difference in temperature in the room is quite low.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a good temperature distribution in a residentical area by furnishing an air spouting angle switch-over device that switches the air spouting angle in accordance with output signals from a heating load decision device and a heating and cooling capacity decision device. CONSTITUTION:A heating load arithmetic device 23 calculates a heating load based on temperature signals from a suction air temperature detector 20 and a room temperature setting device 18, and a heating load decision device 24 judges whether the calculated result is larger than a reference heating load. A cooking and heating capacity arithmetic device 25 calculates a cooling and heating capacity based on an air flow signal from an air flow setting device 19 and temperature signals from the suction air temperature detector 20 and an outlet air temperature detector 21, and a cooling and heating capacity decision device 26 judges whether the calculated result is larger than a reference cooling and heating capacity. An air spouting angle switch-over devices 27a and 27b change the angles of louvers 12a and 12b according to the output signals from the heat load decision device 24 and the cooling and heating capacity decision device 26.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent unpleasant feeling due to contact of wind and to obtain a preferable temperature distribution in a room by diffusing air at substantially parallel diffusing angle with a ceiling when an ambient temperature is stabilized, and increasing an air flow more than that at the time of obliquely down flow irrespective of the set of diffusing air flow setting means. CONSTITUTION:Diffusing air flow setting means 18, diffusing angle switching means 25a, 25b for controlling diffusing angles, diffusing angle discriminating means 24 for discriminating the diffusing angle from a ceiling, and diffusing air flow switching means 30 for switching diffusing air flow on the basis of the output signal from the means 24 are provided. When an ambient temperature is stabilized, it is so controlled as to set its diffusing angle to substantially parallel diffusing angle with the ceiling and to increase the diffusing air flow more than that at the time of obliquely down flow irrespective of the air flow set by the means 18. Diffused hot or cold air flows along the ceiling face, is scarcely decelerated due to large air flow, and a circulation occurs in the whole room, thereby largely improving an ambient temperature distribution. Since the diffused air stream does not contact directly with a human, it can prevent an unpleasant feeling due to the air stream.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent temperature distribution within the room by forming a damper into an arcuate shape and providing a driving device for selectively moving air incoming to a discharge port to a position of discharging air to the opening side and to a position of sucking air through an opening. CONSTITUTION:Drive dampers 17a and 17b are provided at opening parts on the discharge air path sides of communication holes 16-1 and 16b-1 and stationary dampers 18a and 18b are provided at opening parts on the discharge air path sides of communication holes 16a-2 and 16-2. When a switch 24 is set to a space heating mode, motors 19a and 19b operate to move drive dampers and directs the openings toward the discharge port side. Air sucked through a suction port 10 passes through heat exchangers 7a and 7b by a blower 8 and is heated and air is discharged through discharge ports 11a and 11b while being controlled of its air flow direction by louvers 12a and 12b. When the switch 24 is sets to space heating mode, the motors 19a and 19b operate to move drive dampers 17a and 17b and the openings are directed toward the discharge air upstream side, and a part of discharge air is allowed to flow into the communication hole 16a-1 and discharged through the opening 20 in parallel to the ceiling.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To elongate the arrival distance of blow-off air, by a method wherein one part of the blow-off side of a casing for a fan is projected toward the inside of a room and an inward a cute cut-and-raised part, beginning from the upstream side of air, is formed on the substantially half of the side of the fan of the projecting part while a projecting round part is provided in the cut- and-raised part. CONSTITUTION:Air, sucked through a suction port 16, is heated (or cooled) by a heat exchanger 17a, thereafter, is sent out by a fan 18a and is blown off through a blow-off port 11a while being controlled in the direction thereof by a louver 12a. A negative pressure is generated in the air at openings 23, 25 since a cut-and-raised part 20a-1, 20a-2 is acute. Resistance against a main flow is small since the cut-and-raised part 20a-1, 20a-2 is provided with an projecting round part at the inside of the same, therefor, the resistance against the main flow is small and the speed of the air will never be deteriorated. According to this constitution, the arrival distance of the blow-off air may be elongated and a comfortable space may be formed.
