    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the touch panel having high transparency, good appearance and excellent production stability. CONSTITUTION:This touch panel is constituted by forming fluorine-contained high-polymer layers on at least one side of the surfaces of a transparent substrate 21 having transparent electrodes 23. The fluorine-contained high polymer is soluble in solvents and has a crosslinkable functional group at need. As a result, the fluorine-contained high-polymer layers 25 are formed on the transparent substrate 21 by coating the substrate with a fluorine-contained high- polymer soln. Further, the layers can be cured by any method of heating, irradiation with UV rays, irradiation with electron rays and exposure to ozone.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the antidazzle film which has high transmittance and excellent stability of production and reliability of use and the display device which is formed by using this film and is bright and easily visible. CONSTITUTION:This antidazzle film 21 is constituted by forming a fluorine- contained high polymer layer 13 on a light diffusion layer 12. The fluorine- contained high polymer constituting this film is soluble in a solvent and has a crosslinkable functional group. As a result, the fluorine-contained high polymer layer 13 is formed by applying a fluorine-contained high polymer soln. on the light diffusion layer 12 and further curing the coating by any method of heating, irradiation with UV rays, irradiation with electron beams, exposure with ozone. The production of the antidazzle film 21 is thus possible. The display device has the antidazzle film 21 formed with the fluorine-contained high polymer layer 13 on the light diffusion layer 12 on the outermost part of the display surface.

CONSTITUTION:In an illumination light guide plate for a liquid crystal device, a light guide plate is made of the high molecular emulsion, which is composed of the transparent polymer A11 as the main component and the micelled polymer B12 for scattering the light and the AB graft polymer or the AB block polymer as the surface active agent. The transparent polymer A11 as the main component and the polymer B12 incompatible with the polymer A are dissolved in the common solvent, and the solvent is eliminated after the distribution to form a high molecular emulsion pellet having a micell at an appropriate diameter, and thereafter, injection molding or extrusion molding is performed to form a light guide plate.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a nonlinear element which operates stably and is provided with a nonlinear electric conduction induction layer that is able to be formed at a normal temperature and pressure and excellent in controllability by a method wherein an edge step induced by a lower conductor layer formed on a glass board is relaxed, and then the nonlinear electric conductive induction layer and an upper conductor layer are formed.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain orientation treating layers which can be uniformly and easily formed by providing flattening layers of prescribed materials and the orientation treating layers for LB films on electrodes. CONSTITUTION:TFT elements and the driving electrodes 2 are formed by sputtering of ITO on a glass substrate 1. The surface thereof is then spin coated with 0.3% chloroform soln. of polyisopropyl fumarate (PF) to form the flattening layer 3. 0.1% chloroform soln. of the PF is developed on a water surface and is compressed to form the L (Langmuir) film. The substrate 1 is immersed in the liquid and is pulled up to accumulate two layers of the LB films. These films are dried by heating to obtain the PF orientation treating layer 4. After a counter electrode 9 is formed on another glass substrate 10, 1% chloroform soln. of the PF is applied thereon to form the flattening layer 8. The LB film is formed thereon and is dried by heating to obtain the PF orientation treating layer 7. Two sheets of the glass plates are adhered apart a prescribed spacing by sealant 6 and TN liquid crystal 5 is sealed therebetween.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the color filter which has the surface smooth over the entire surface and is free from the generation of unequal thicknesses of cells by reducing the thickness of a coat layer at all points of the surface in a lapping stage than the thickness at the time of formation of the coat layer. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of the coat layer 3 is reduced at all the points in the surface in the lapping stage than the thickness at the time of the formation of the coat layer. Even if, for example, there is the dent generated by bubbles in the coat layer 3 formed on a colored layer 2, the coat layer is removed in the lapping stage until the dent is completely erased to obtain a flattened surface 4. A mirror surface 5 is thereafter obtd. by a polishing stage. The color filter which has the surface smooth over the entire surface and is free from the generation of the unequal thicknesses of cells is obtd. in this way.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain high luminescence brightness for a long period of time through low voltage driving and permit large-area application by providing a luminescence layer composed of a polymer in which an organic fluorescent material is dispersed, between a pair of electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A polypyrrole electrode film 2 is formed by the electrolytic polymerization method on a glass base 1. Then, a polymer luminescence layer 3 of 2 micron meters in thickness is deposited through spin coating by using a slurry in which 30weight% of perylene against an acrylic resin is dissolved in chloroform employed as a common solvent. Further on top of it, indium which serves as an upper electrode 4 is vacuum-evaporation coated. By this constitution, when a 5V DC voltage is applied to the electrode 4 used as a minus-side, orange-colored luminescence of a few hundred Cd/cm in brightness is produced, and this brightness is not reduced even with the voltage applied continuously for 1000 hours.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a transparent electrode pattern on the color filter without any wire disconnection by forming a coat layer on a grinding surface. CONSTITUTION:A colored layer 2 is formed on a transparent substrate 1 by a dyeing and the coat layer 3 is formed thereupon by spray coating. Then the coat layer 3 is ground to form the ground surface 4 having no step, but grinding flaws 6 are formed in the surface. Here, a coat layer 5 is formed on the ground surface and an ITO layer is formed by sputtering on the obtained flat color filter. Consequently, the dissolution of a transparent electrode due to the penetration of an etchant from the grinding flaws 6 and the section of dust is eliminated to form the transparent electrode pattern on the color filter without any wire disconnection.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the introduction of a photolithography technique of high accuracy to a sol-gel method technique which provides excellent flatness to the color filter by forming a colored layer consisting of at least an inorg. structural material and org. mordant on a transparent substrate. CONSTITUTION:An alumina sol is coated by using a spin coater on the transparent substrate 1 and is held by heating to form a porous alumina layer. A soln. prepd. by adding a diazonium salt as a crosslinking agent to an aq. soln. of polyacryl amide is coated on the porous alumina layer by a spray coater and the substrate 1 is rested still by maintaining the same level. After the acryl amide on the surface is wiped away by a cloth soaked with water, the surface is dried and is irradiated by UV rays, by which the colored layer 2 filled with the modified acrylic resin of the mordant in the pores of the porous alumina is formed. The introduction of the photography technique of high accuracy to the sol-gel method technique which provides the excellent flatness to the color filter is thereby enabled and the increase of the area and density is enabled.
