Abstract:
A single-track stacking panel covering for an architectural opening has a headrail for mounting the covering above and in front of the opening, such as a window or door. The headrail has a single track. Suspended from the headrail and translatable therealong are panels oriented at a small angle relative to the headrail. When the covering is open, the panels form an overlappingly stacked array at one end of the headrail.
Abstract:
Abstract:
To provide a linear motor type curtain opening and closing device capable of smoothly running ring runners, there is provided a linear motor type curtain opening and closing device constituted by an outer rail (20) incorporating stators, a movable element (50) running in the outer rail (20) and a plurality of ring runners (80, 82A, 82B....) fitted movably to the outer periphery of the outer rail (20) along the outer rail (20) and capable of hanging a curtain where a forefront one of the ring runner (80) is fixed to the movable element (50) by which in running the movable element (50), the ring runner (80) moving along with the movable element (50) is not inclined and is not twisted in respect of the outer rail (20).
Abstract:
A drapery support system (20, 300, 500) having a telescoping channel-shaped track assembly (21, 521) and a plurality of supportslides (130, 131,504) each connected to a hanger (152, 270, 305, 514) for a pleat-or fold of a drapery panel (30, 301), hanging bead configuration (400) or blind segment (502). The slides are interconnected by an elongated elastic cord member (148, 530) so that as the panels or segments are extended or stacked back, the folds are maintained evenly spaced by uniform extension and contraction of the elastic cord. End slides (130) of a panel (30) are connected to a carrier member (160,250,340) which is engageable with a gravity or magnetic latching mechanism (198,245) to secure a panel in an extended or closed condition. One embodiment of the system is provided with an endless traverse cord (324) for traversing the end slide carrier members (340) between open and closed positions of the drapery panels (301). Another embodiment of the system includes rotatable slides (504) which are rotated and extended by opposed elastic cords (530) for opening and closing vertical venetian blind segments (502).
Abstract:
A multi-curtain assembly includes: first and second curtain segments, each having a leading edge and side edge; an edge fastener having first and second fastener portions proximate the side edge of the first and second curtain segments, respectively, the first fastener portion of the first curtain segment being connectable to the second fastener portion of the second curtain segment to produce a seam as the curtain segments are moved to their closed positions; a motor driving one or more of the barrel assemblies; a synchronizing mechanism synchronizing the barrel assemblies. An overlap fastener, arranged proximate edges of the curtain segments in an overlap region, has aligning portions that align as the side edges are brought into alignment by the edge fastener, to mask at least one side of the fastener seam as the fastener portions are connected to each other.
Abstract:
A curtain system is described which includes a curtain having a plurality of rod engaging members attached thereto, a plurality of rods each having a first end, and a curtain release mechanism attached to each rod at the first end thereof. The rod engaging members each include a stem having a first end and a second end, the first end of the stem configured for engagement with the curtain release mechanism, and a keyway formed in the stem and proximate the first end of the stem.
Abstract:
Curtains are provided which have fastener/s and, in some cases, strut/s arranged along a screen. The strut/s extend to elevation/s below and/or above the fastener/s. An upper strut may have a lower degree of stiffness than a lower strut. In some cases, the fastener/s are arranged at least 20 inches from the screen's upper edge. Systems are described which include a disinfection apparatus and any of such curtains. Other systems include any of such curtains attached to an edge of a room divider. Easily assembled and disassembled room dividers are described which include cord/s and/or pole/s, installed or portable device/s for supporting the cords/poles, and fasteners for attaching a curtain to the cords/poles. A disinfection apparatus is described which includes a shield extending to an elevation at least two feet above a germicidal light source and borders at least one third of a continuous region surrounding the germicidal light source.
Abstract:
The present invention describes a window covering which is useful for securing to objects having windows without using permanent attachment devices. The window covering preferably contains a plurality of magnets arranged along the upper end and along the lower end. The magnets are arranged so that they are coupleable or securable to a metal part of a window itself or a metal surface which houses the window as well as one or more additional magnets positioned within the window covering.
Abstract:
A magnetic curtain of light impervious or light interrupting material having a plurality of magnets positioned in its periphery, the magnetic curtain sized to magnetically adhere to the interior surface of a steel entrance door and cover the decorative window formed therein.
