The invention relates to a locking system for mechanical joining of floorboards (1) constructed from a body (30), a rear balancing layer (34), and an upper surface layer (32). A strip (6), which is integrally formed with the body (30) of the floorboard and which projects from a joint plane (F) and under an adjoining board (1), has a locking element (8) which engages a locking groove (14) in the rear side of the adjoining board. The joint edge provided with the strip (6) is modified with respect to the balancing layer (34), for example by means of machining of the balancing layer under the strip (6), in order to prevent deflection of the strip (6) caused by changes in relative humidity. The invention also relates to a floorboard provided with such a locking system, as well as a method for making floorboards with such a locking system.

A method for producing a mechanical locking system for a first panel and a second panel. The method includes providing a tongue (30), including a first locking surface (22), at a first edge of the first panel (1), forming a tongue groove (10), including a second locking surface (23), at a second edge of the second panel, the first locking surface and second locking surface are configured to cooperate for locking the first edge to the second edge in a first direction (D1), providing a first guiding surface (20) at the first edge and a second guiding surface (21)at the second edge, wherein the first guiding surface cooperates with the second guiding surface during an assembling of the first edge and the second edge, and working of the first guiding surface and/or the second guiding surface to reduce the coefficient of friction between the first guiding surface and the second guiding surface and/or a surface roughness.

Belag von im Verbund verlegten rechteckigen oder quadratischen Paneelen (1, 2), wobei die Paneele (1, 2) schachbrettartig angeordnet sind, so dass sich Stoßfugen zwischen den Paneelen (1, 2) kreuzen. Jedes Paneel besitzt an seinen Randseiten (5, 10) Nuten (16) und Federn (6) zur Horizontalverriegelung und Vertikalverriegelung mit benachbarten Paneelen (1, 2). Die Federn (6) zur Vertikalverriegelung sind an zwei benachbarten Randseiten (5) angeordnet. Die Nuten (16) zur Vertikalverriegelung sind an den beiden anderen benachbarten Randseiten (10) angeordnet. Eine der beiden Federn ist feststehend und die andere Feder (6) beweglich. Das zuerst zu verlegende Paneel (1) untergreift das anschließend zu verlegende, zweite Paneel zur Horizontalverriegelung. Zur Vertikalverriegelung ist an dem ersten Paneel (1) eine Verriegelungskante (8) und an dem zweiten Paneel (2) eine bewegliche Feder (6) angeordnet, die hinter die Verriegelungskante (8) verlagerbar ist, wobei jede der beiden Federn in jede der Nuten (16) zur Vertikalverriegelung eines solchen Paneels (1, 2) passt.

A decorative surface covering element has a height of 4 mm or less from its top surface to the bottom surface. The surface covering element is configured as a multi-layered compound with a polymer-based core layer laminated between a backing layer and a wear layer, the core layer comprising a core material having a lesser shore hardness than the backing layer and the wear layer. The surface covering element comprises a first connecting profile, integral with the multi-layered compound, that extends along at least one of the edges of the surface covering element. The first connecting profile comprises at least one protrusion realized in the core layer, the protrusion having side surfaces for being seized between opposite surfaces of a recess in a second connecting profile, configured for mating with the first connecting profile, of another decorative surface covering element.

본 발명에 따른 조립식 타일 결합체는, 육면체 형상을 가지되 측면 일 부위에서 돌출 형성된 돌기를 구비한 돌기 타일과, 육면체 형상을 가진 상태에서 측면 일 부위에서 상기 돌기를 수용할 수 있는 홈이 형성된 홈 타일로 이루어지되, 가로 및 세로 방향으로 상기 홈 타일과 돌기 타일이 교대로서 복수 개로 결합되어 구성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 또한, 육면체 형상을 가지되 일 방향으로 길게 연장되어 있는 것으로, 측면에 상기 홈이나 돌기와 대응 결합될 수 있는 홈 및 돌기 중 어느 하나가 형성되어, 상기 조립식 타일의 결합체에 인접하여 상기 조립식 타일과 조립되는 결합 레일;을 추가로 포함한 것을 특징으로 한다.
