There is disclosed apparatus, method and system for mechanically joining abutting construction elements having a first split tongue located at one end of the connector and a second split tongue located at the other end of the connector. The first and second split tongues are adapted to be inserted into and locked onto grooves in abutting construction elements for holding the adjacent construction elements in abutting relationship. In an embodiment the grooves in said construction elements are formed into auxiliary groove containing members adapted to be integrated into an edge or face surface of the construction elements.

The present invention relates to wall and surface veneering products and systems that provide a replica image of a natural surface, such as stone, brick or wood, and is easily installable due to its lightweight characteristics and securement design. The present invention further includes systems for attachment of the veneering product to walls or other surfaces and also includes systems for assembling such products to provide pleasing arrangements and complete wall coverage. The present invention also includes methods of manufacture, which ensures the natural appearance of stone or wood by imaging a natural surface, such as stone or wood, and preparing a mold from that image to mass produce a replica of that particular surface.

Ein Verbindungssystem für einen mobilen Boden umfasst eine Vielzahl von in Draufsicht rechteckförmigen Platten (1), die jeweils an ihren Längskanten mit benachbarten Platten (1) verbindbar sind. Die Platten (1) bilden dann eine gemeinsame Oberfläche aus und zur Verbindung zweier längsseitig benachbarter Platten (1) sind jeweils ein Nutstück (2) und ein Federstück (3) in den Längskanten der benachbarten Platten (1) angeordnet. Das Nutstück (2) und das Federstück (3) bestehen aus einem formstabilen Material, wobei das Nutstück (2) einen von dem Plattenmaterial umgebenen Steg (21), eine sich an diesen anschließende Nut (22), deren Öffnung sich von ihrer geschlossenen Seite zur offenen Seite hin verengt, und eine sich an den unteren Rand der Nut anschließende Zunge (23) aufweist. Das Federstück (3) weist einen von dem Plattenmaterial umgebenen Steg (31) und eine von dem Steg weg schräg nach oben verlaufende Feder (32) auf. Das Nutstück (2) und das Federstück (3) können auf einfache Weise montiert und demontiert werden.

In a cladding tile comprising a backing member (10) and a cladding material (40) which is releasably attachable to the upper surface of the backing member, the underside of the cladding material (40) includes parallel grooves which are re-entrant in cross-sectional shape and the backing member (10) carries complementary shaped anchor formations (12) which project in parallel rows upwardly from its upper surface to be slidably engageable in the cladding material grooves . Preferably the re-entrant grooves in the cladding material and the base member anchor formations are dovetailed in cross-sectional shape.
