Abstract:
An overhead door control system includes an input shaft drivably connected to an overhead door axle and a load brake shaft drivably connected to the input shaft. The control system includes a load brake which releases the load brake shaft in response to rotation of the input shaft. The load brake engages the load brake shaft in response to the rotation of the input shaft being driven to zero.
Abstract:
A barrier operating system having a diagnostic performance feature includes a motorized barrier movable between limit positions and a counterbalance system coupled to the barrier. A disconnect mechanism may be interposed between the motor and the counterbalance system so that the barrier can be moved manually without assistance from the motor. A position detection device is coupled to either the barrier or the counterbalance system and generates a barrier position signal. One of the motor and the position detection device generates operational parameter values for the barrier moving in either direction. A controller receives the operational parameter values and the barrier position signal, and as the barrier is manually moved, the controller compares operational parameter values for each direction of movement at a given position and generates a diagnostic signal based upon the comparison.
Abstract:
A vehicle hand tool and method of use for opening and closing a vehicle door and performing various additional functions. The hand tool includes a hand gripper, a first rod and a second rod. The first rod includes a first end and a second end and the first end is fixed to the hand gripper. The second rod includes a third end and a fourth end and is movably mounted to the first rod. The second rod is movable from a storage position wherein the fourth end is adjacent the first rod and an extended position wherein the fourth end is spaced from the first rod. An attachment mechanism is mounted to the fourth end and a tool is removably mountable to the attachment mechanism. A release button is mounted to the hand gripper or the first rod and is movable to secure or release the vehicle hand tool from the storage position.
Abstract:
A mounting system for a closure which enables the closure to be opened from at least two sides. The closure includes handles mounted on the two sides and is mounted to a frame which the closure closes with the at least two sides. The closure only be opened from one of the sides at a time. The mounting system includes a locking and releasing mechanism on each of the sides, at least one hinge attached to each of the respective sides, a control bar attached to each hinge, the bar substantially locked into a respective control system, and a control circuit comprising a sensor and a relay, associated with each of the handles, whereby if a person opens the closure from one side, the sensor on that side activates the corresponding relay to operate the control system on that side of the closure and the hinge on that side is retracted.
Abstract:
The power-operated door opening and closing system (10) of the present invention is of the kind adapted to be attached to the ceiling and comprises: an electric motor, an electric motor control unit, an electric push-button (P) actuating switch to control the motor operation, a string (30) or the like, and a mechanism adapted to convert the pulling of the string into a pressure upon the push-button switch or a pull of the pull-type switch.
Abstract:
A fast disassembling joint structure includes a base part and a removable part. One end of the removable part is secured to a desired structure; the other end is a connection arm. The housing has a raceway and a first semi-circular concavity. The movable clamp has an insertion section to engage a recess of the connection arm. The insertion section has a second semi-circular concavity to fit with the first semi-circular concavity so as to pivotally connect with the connection arm. A spring is adapted to provide a push force for the movable clamp. A top cover, secured on the housing, is employed to house the spring and movable clamp inside. A handle of the movable clamp extends out of an opening of the cover so that users can manually control the handle to disassemble the removable part.
Abstract:
A handle that is extendable and retractable to minimize interference with window decorations and having a feature, which allows removal and attachment of the handle from the crank of the window operator without the use of tools. The handle is removable from the window operator though the use of either a clip lock feature or a spring lock clip both of which can be top down assembled with the minimum of effort and complexity.
Abstract:
A foot operated door opener is formed as a triangular frame. The frame has an angular apex joint opposite the longer leg. The apex has an axle therethrough which is rotatably connected to a wall adjacent a sliding door. Pressure on the end of one leg of the frame causes rotation of the frame about the axle. The rotation causes another end of the frame to engage the sliding door and move it laterally to partially open the door.
Abstract:
A sliding door mechanism controls a door 10 in the form of a series of horizontal slats articulated to the slats above and below to move from a closed position in a vertical plane, along between tracks 14, until open. The door is moved by cables winding on or off a cable drum 12 driven through a drive belt 16 by an electric motor 18. The motor is on a carriage mounted at 30 to allow the drive belt to be slackened to remove drive from the drum 12. Control circuits 20 for the apparatus are described.
Abstract:
A rolling support assembly having a carrier with a housing configured for lateral reception within a corresponding cavity in a sliding door for frictional reception therein in a manner precluding longitudinal movement out of the cavity. The carrier mounts and provides for vertical adjustment of a depending wheel set offset to underlie the center of weight of the door and engage a pair of wheel rails provided on an underlying track including rail protecting overlying flanges and/or members.
