Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for transmitting uplink information in a broadcasting system are provided. A repeater of a mobile broadcasting system includes a plurality of transmitting stations each transmitting a broadcast signal for at least one broadcast service, a plurality of terminals receiving the broadcast signal for the at least one broadcast service through at least one transmitting station among the transmitting stations, and the repeater, the repeated being coupled between the plurality of transmitting stations and the plurality of terminals. The repeater includes a receiving unit configured to receive uplink information from the terminals, a control unit configured to classify the received uplink information by broadcast service and to create uplink information per broadcast service, and a transmitting unit configured to transmit the created uplink information to at least one corresponding transmitting station.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses an interactive broadcasting method for a broadcasting system. The interactive broadcasting method includes emitting, by a broadcasting station of the broadcasting system, radio signals carrying a broadcast program via an air interface; receiving, by a broadcast service receiving module corresponding to the broadcasting station, the broadcast program via the air interface and a command for triggering a service introduced in the broadcast program; sending, by the broadcast service receiving module, a request related to the service to a service management device via a network-based interface; providing, by the service management device, the service for the broadcast service receiving module according to the received request via the network-based interface.
Abstract:
A computer-based method and system for content data management and provision. The method may include receiving a content request message from a registered user (104). The content request message may be addressed to an address associated with a broadcast entity (130). An identity of the user (104) may be determined based upon the received content request message and identification information of the user stored in a database. A date and/or a time of transmission of the content request message may be determined and compared with content broadcast information associated with the broadcast entity (130). At least one piece of content data from the content broadcast information may be identified as a result of the comparing and the identified content data may be transmitted to the user (104).
Abstract:
Abstract:
A personal media device including a broadcast receiver that receives broadcast media and broadcast media data from a broadcast source where the broadcast media data includes a media identifier associated with the broadcast media. The media device also includes a data transceiver that sends a retrieval request to a media server for enhanced media data where the retrieval request includes the media identifier and receives the enhanced media data via a wireless data channel. The media device further includes a processor that performs a media device operation in response to the received enhanced media data.
Abstract:
A mobile communication device comprises receiver circuitry operable to receive broadcast real-time media data over a communication interface, and signal processing logic operable to extract real-time media content from the broadcast real-time media data, and output the extracted real-time media content via a user interface of the mobile communication device. In response to determining a partial loss of data for the broadcast real-time media data, the signal processing logic is operable to retrieve stored media content from a memory element of the mobile communication device, and output the retrieved media content via the user interface of the communication device.
Abstract:
A method, system, mobile device, apparatus and computer program product are provided for accurately determining whether one or more rights objects associated with a mobile device are valid. In particular, a secure time source (e.g., DRM clock or time) may be maintained by the mobile device and used to check the validity of the one or more rights objects. In order to ensure that the secure time source or clock remains accurate, the mobile device may update the secure time source by regularly requesting and receiving the DVB-H network time from a DVB-H network entity. Because the DVB-H network time is secure, accurate and readily accessible, it provides an ideal tool for correcting possible drift in the mobile device's secure time source.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a system (1800), a service-provider (140) and a mobile terminal (120) for downloading media products by: transmitting a signal from a broadcasting or streaming station (110), which signal comprises media content and data content, wherein the data content at least comprises a media product identifier connected to the currently broadcasted media content; receiving the broadcasted signal by means of a mobile terminal (120) and extracting the media product identifier from the received data content; transmitting a download request from the mobile terminal (120) to the service-provider (140) via a wireless telecommunication network (130) as a response to a command from a user of the terminal (120), which download request at least comprises the media product identifier and a unique user subscriber identity (122) held by the terminal (120); executing an authorization control by means of the service-provider (140) based on the received user subscriber identity (122); executing a media product retrieval by means of the service-provider (140) based on the received media product identifier, as a response to a successful authorization of the subscriber; transmitting the retrieved media product from the service-provider (140) to the mobile terminal (120) via the wireless telecommunication network (130). The invention is furthermore directed to a solution where mobile terminal operates together with a bridging device for communicating with a service and/or content provider.
