Abstract:
An impeller including a hub body, a shroud surrounding the hub body, and a plurality of impeller blades extending from the hub body to the shroud, wherein the hub body, the shroud, and the plurality of impeller blades are a one- piece structure.
Abstract:
A computer may display on a graphical user interface (GUI) a component library including a set of components relating to a compressed air system. The GUI may have a modeling interface for configuring a virtual model using the set of components. The computer may simulate the virtual model to determine one or more optimizations to the compressed air system. The computer may also determine the cost of implementing the compressor system optimization.
Abstract:
A gas compressing system includes a compressor that provides a flow of compressed gas, a first desiccant tower, and a second desiccant tower separate from the first tower. The system also includes a first separator, a second separator separate from the first separator, an outlet, a first set and second set of no more than three valves each movable between an open position and a closed position. The flow flows along a flow path from the compressor to the first tower, to the first separator, to the second tower and out the outlet when the first set of valves is open and the second set of valves is closed. The flow of compressed gas flows from the compressor to the second tower, to the second separator, to the first tower and out the outlet when the first set of valves is closed and the second set of valves is opened.
Abstract:
Illustrative embodiments of diaphragm pumps having an automatic priming function, as well as related systems and methods, are disclosed. In one illustrative embodiment, a method of priming a diaphragm pump includes sensing, with a pressure sensor disposed at a fluid outlet of the diaphragm pump, a pressure of a fluid being pumped by the diaphragm pump, transmitting a pressure signal associated with the sensed pressure from the pressure sensor to a controller of the diaphragm pump, and identifying, on the controller, whether the diaphragm pump is primed by determining whether a characteristic of the pressure signal has reached a threshold.
Abstract:
A filter head adaptor (300) for a compressed air filter (200). The filter head adaptor capable of modifying a filter head (202) to accommodate a variety of different style filter elements (16). The filter head adaptor including a main body connector (320), a filter element connector (42), and a second inlet channel in fluid communication between the main body connector and the filter element connector, the main body connector is adapted for coupling to the adaptor connector of the main body, whereby the main body connector is adapted for coupling to a filter head. The invention includes contemplates requiring a reduced inventory of filter heads (202) and filter bodies (204) for a pluarity of filter elements (16), as the appropriate filter head adaptor (300) may be selected which presents a particular filter element connector which matches that of the filter element (16) intended to be used.
Abstract:
A filter element for a compressed air filter includes a filter element (206) having an upper end cap (208) and a lower end (102), the upper end cap having a rim (230) extending and defining an outer perimeter of the upper end cap, the rim includes an outer slanted surface (234) which extends radially outward and upward. A filter body (204) is also provided and defines a cavity (258) and includes an open upper end (256) for receiving the filter element, the open upper end includes a ledge (264), wherein the ledge is slanted and extends radially inward and downward, defining a seat for matingly receiving the slanted surface of the rim of the upper end cap. A filter head (202) is provided and includes a filter element connector for coupling to a collar of the filter element, and a filter body connector for coupling to the filter body.
Abstract:
A diaphragm pump includes a first plate, a second plate and a diaphragm having first and second side surfaces. A fluid chamber is defined by the first plate and the first side of the diaphragm, a fluid inlet fluidly connected to the fluid chamber and a fluid outlet fluidly connected to the fluid chamber. An air chamber is defined by the second plate and the second side of the diaphragm, such that the diaphragm is retained between the first plate and the second plate. A clamp moves between a first position in which the first plate is fixedly connected to the second plate and the diaphragm, and a second position in which the first plate is disconnected from the second plate and the diaphragm to permit disassembly of the first plate, the second plate and the diaphragm.
Abstract:
Battery packs include a battery pack housing, at least one battery release member held by the battery housing, a (blind) latch held by the battery pack housing in communication with the battery release member that releaseably locks the battery pack to a device, and a tactile feedback mechanism that is held by the battery pack housing and is in communication with the battery release member. The tactile feedback mechanism generates a tactile feedback that reduces or increases an application force required by a user to manually actuate the at least one release member. The tactile feedback transmitted through the at least one battery release member. The tactile feedback is generated when the at least one release member has been manually actuated by the user a sufficient distance to allow the user to easily remove the battery pack from the device.
Abstract:
Portable lock mounting assemblies including straps or connectors for securing each assembly to a bicycle or the like. Each mounting assembly having a structure defining a retaining assembly to securely retain a lock and easily release the lock from the mounting assembly.
Abstract:
The housing assembly has a grip portion having a heightwise axis. The housing assembly includes a housing member having parallel upper and lower housing guide features spaced apart along the heightwise axis. The trigger member is mounted in the housing assembly to slide along a slide axis transverse to the heightwise axis. The trigger member includes parallel upper and lower trigger guide features spaced apart along the heightwise axis and mated with the upper and lower housing guide features. The upper and lower housing guide features and the upper and lower trigger guide features cooperate to limit the trigger member to a linear slide path relative to the housing assembly and inhibit cocking of the trigger member about a lateral axis transverse to each of the heightwise axis and the slide axis.
