    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide the subject apparatus which consists of a specific constitution to transport chopped fibers through a long flexible conduit from its generation source and is capable of transporting these fibers with homogeneous flow and homogeneously depositing the fibers onto a workpiece. CONSTITUTION: The chopped fibers 82 from a chopped fiber generating means 84 are first introduced to an opening at the inlet of a first flow extending means 100, such as a transvector, and are accelerated by the effect of compressed air, following which the chopped fibers are discharge from an outlet opening 122 in the accelerated state. Next, the chopped fibers are introduced from the inlet opening 118 of a conduit means 110, such as a stationary hose, and are thereafter discharge from the outlet opening 122 through the conduit. In succession, the chopped fibers 82 are introduced from the inlet opening of a second flow extending means 124, such as a transvector, and after the chopped fibers are accelerated by the effect of the compressed air, the chopped fibers are discharged in the accelerated and homogeneous state from the outlet opening of the second flow extending means 124.
