PURPOSE: A method for screening a material for treating dry skin is provided to prevent skin moisturizing and to recover skin barrier. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a material for treating dry skin comprises a step of screening candidate materials based on expression change of bleomycin hydolase(BH) gene. The gene expression level is measured by PCR. An external use skin composition contains LXR activator which enhances BH gene expression level as an active ingredient. The composition is used for treating dry skin or moisturizing skin.

PURPOSE: A composition containing Sequoia callus extract is provided to promote regeneration of adipose-derived stem cells and to recover damaged subcutaneous fat. CONSTITUTION: A composition for enhancing the stemness of adipose-derived stem cells(hADSCs) contains Sequoia callus extract as an active ingredient. The composition enhances CD29 and CD44 expression level. A composition for enhancing skin cell proliferation contains the extract as an active ingredient. The skin cell is transit-amplifying cells(TA cells). The composition contains 0.0001-10 wt% of the extract. A skin care method comprises a step of treating the composition on the skin.
