Abstract: Disclosed are a method of decoding a video and a computer readable recording medium thereof. According to the present invention, a program to perform the video decoding method is recorded on the computer readable recording medium. The program includes the steps of: inducing at least one of a spatial merging candidate and a temporal merging candidate with respect to an encoding block, based on a parallel merging information about a parallel merging processing level; and generating a single merging candidate list for a predictive block in the coding block based on the merging candidate.
