A coating composition is disclosed. The coating composition includes a poly(methyl methacrylate) polymer or copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of at least 50,000 grams per mole; monomer comprising at least one of an alkylene diacrylate, alkylene dimethacrylate, cycloalkylene diacrylate, or cycloalkylenedimethacrylate, wherein the at least one of an alkylene diacrylate, alkylene dimethacrylate, cycloalkylene diacrylate, or cycloalkylenedimethacrylate provides at least 80 percent by weight of the monomer; and a stabilizer against ultraviolet light. An article including a coating on a surface of a substrate and a method of making the article are also disclosed. The coating on the surface of the substrate is obtained by curing the disclosed coating composition.

The coating composition comprises an aqueous continuous liquid phase, a silica nano-particle dispersed in the aqueous continuous liquid phase, and a polymer latex dispersion. An antifogging coating composition comprises a hydrophilic polymer, 0 5-25 wt% of an anionic surfactant relative to 100% by weight of the polymer, 0-60 wt% of inorganic oxide particles relative to 100% by weight of the polymer, and an aqueous solvent. The polymer may be cellulose, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyacrylic acid, polyacrylamide, or polyvinyl alcohol. The invention further provides an antifogging film comprising a substrate and a coating which is provided on at least a part of a surface on at least one side of the substrate and made from the present composition. The invention also provides an article compπsing the film such as a mask for medical operation, eye glasses, a protecting mask for mining, a food packing box, or a food packing bag.
