Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent splashing of glass even when impact force is given to a colored glass to break the glass, to improve contrast in a bright place, and to obtain excellent shock resistance and visibility by sticking a plastic film the surface of which has a reflection-reducing means to the glass containing a coloring material. CONSTITUTION:The filter 20 is produced by sticking a polyethylene terephthalate plastic film 22 to the colored glass with an adhesive. The surface of the plastic film 22 has a laminar structure comprising an acryl transparent resin layer 23 and an antireflection film 24 of a dielectric multilayer film. External light 31 such as sun rays is reflected on the surface of the liquid crystal display device, on the interfaces of optical elements in the display device, or on the interfaces between the electrode 12 in the liquid crystal panel and the glass substrate 13, and these reflected rays are observed by an observer. The reflected light 32 from the surface of the device can be decreased by the antireflection film 24. On the other hand, the inner reflection light 33 reflected from the inside of the device and observed by an observer can be decreased by the colored glass 21.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain spectacles in a shape which is as conformable with a face as possible by using specific lenses consisting of 1st and 2nd refracting surfaces as toric surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The spectacle lens consists of the 1st and 2nd refracting surfaces which are toric surfaces, and coordinate axes X and Y in contact with the refracting surfaces at their tops and a coordinate axis Z crossing them at right angles are set; when the length of the perpendicular from one point on the refracting surface to the XY plane is denoted as Z and the XY coordinates of the intersection of the perpendicular and XY plane are denoted as (x) and (y), a refracting surface in which Z value is represented by an equation is employed as the 2nd refracting surface. Then when coordinate systems X1Y1Z1 and X2Y2Z2 are set at the top of the refracting surface so that planes X1Z1 and X2Z2 contain the section of the 1st and 2nd refracting surfaces where maximum curvature appear and planes Y1Z1 and Y2Z2 contain the section where minimum curvature appears, axes Z2 and Z1 are on the same axis, the planes X2Z2 and X1Z1, and planes Y2Z2 and Y1Z1 are in the same planes respectively, and the rear-side focal distances in the planes X1Z1 and Y1Z1 become nearly equal.

CONSTITUTION:For the manufacture of the hologram element, an exposure optical system consists of an irradiation means for pulse light, a movable dry plate, and a slit which is positioned between irradiation means and dry plate and transmits part of light. Consequently, the hologram element in equal-interval and unequal-interval stripe structure can be produced by the simple optical system without using any photomask. Further, diverse hologram patterns can be formed only by varying the shape of the slit while the same optical system is used.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To thin the head by disposing an objective lens between a light source and a mirror. CONSTITUTION:An objective lens 104 is disposed between a semiconductor laser 101 and a mirror 105. Light emitted from the laser 101 is converted to parallel rays by a collimator lens 102, and thereafter, converted to a convergent light by the objective lens 104, and condensed to a storage medium on a disk 106. Subsequently, by a focusing actuator 1O9, the objective lens 104 is moved in the direction as indicated with an arrow 111, and a light spot is moved in the focus direction 111. In such a way, since the objective lens is not provided between the disk 106 and the mirror 105, the optical head can be thinned.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain position of an object without any complicated calculation and to enable tracking operation of facing a lens in the direction thereto by rotating a box to which a base plate and the lens are fixed, around a rotation center. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric converter element 102 consists of a photoelectric conversion plane and four electrodes 201 provided at the circumference thereof. When a certain position of the photoelectric conversion plane is irradiated by light, electricity is generated, and difference of electric current appears among the electric current taken out of the four electrodes 201 and consequently, from the difference, the position where the light irradiates, can be distinguished. Therefore, by rotating a box 104 around a rotation center 108 so that an image formed by a lens 101 may be always located at the center of the photoelectric conversion plane, movement of an object 107 can be tracked. In this way, the object can be tracked without requirement of complicated signal processing circuits.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To move an image point over a wide range in suppressing an aberration while fixing a lens by using the lens with structure of a diffraction grating with slight aberration and combining the move of a light source and the change of an oscillating wavelength by using the lens. CONSTITUTION:On one surface of a lens 102 to be used for a focusing mechanism, a micro-Fresnel lens 103 is formed and the pattern of the lens 103 is designed so that aberration 106 can be generated to light from a semiconductor laser 101 equipped with the variable oscillating wavelength. By moving the laser 101 by an actuator 108 and changing the oscillating wavelength, aparaxial image point 105 is moved in an optical axial direction and focusing is executed while suppressing the aberration to be generated and maintaining a satisfactory dot image. For the light source, it is preferable to use plural light sources equipped with various central wavelengths and variable oscillating wavelengths.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow focusing while maintaining good image points over a wide range by selectively using plural light sources which vary in central wavelength and are variable in oscillation wavelength. CONSTITUTION:The 1st image point 107 is formed by making the light rays from 3 pieces of semiconductor lasers 101a to 101c which vary in the central wavelength and are variable in oscillation wavelength to a 1st lens 104, the 2nd image point 110 is formed by a 2nd lens 108 and the 3rd image point 112 is formed by a 3rd lens 111. The movement of the image point 107 is executed by moving the lens 104 by an actuator 105 and the wavelength is changed by selecting the semiconductor laser from the above-mentioned semiconductor lasers and changing the oscillation wavelength thereof. The position and aberration of the image point 110 is controlled in this way and, therefore, the image point 112 can be moved while the good image points are maintained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a scanning optical system which has small curvature of field without using any ftheta lens by constituting an aberration generating mechanism of combining a lens which includes a diffraction grating structure, a movable spot light source, and a light source whose oscillation frequency is variable. CONSTITUTION:An aberration is generated when the spot light source 105 is moved on the optical axis and an image with the aberration is formed. Namely, an image 112a is formed without any aberration by making the light with an aberration incident on a 3rd lens 109. Here, a 2nd lens 106 provided with the Fresnel lens 107 having the diffraction grating structure, a 1st lens 103 which is movable on the optical axis by an actuator 104, and the semiconductor laser 101 whose oscillation frequency is variable are combined to constitute the optical scanner. Consequently, a focusing mechanism which can move the image point over a wide range is constituted and the scanning optical system with small curvature of field is obtained without using any ftheta lens.
