    Abstract: A method of and apparatus (1) for producing a three-dimensional object are provided, in which a beam (18) from beam oscillating means (11) is irradiated on a liquid surface of a liquid photo-curable resin (4) to form a cured resin layer having a pattern corresponding to a shape of an exploded plane which results from exploding a desired three-dimensional object image by a certain direction, a liquid photo-curable resin is placed on the cured resin layer and a beam is again irradiated on a liquid surface of the liquid photo-curable resin layer thereby to sequentially laminated a cured resin layer onto the already-cured resin layer, so as to form a desired three-dimensional object (47). The method and apparatus are characterised by the use of configuration scanning in which a configuration line of the exploded plane is scanned by the beam irradiation based on a vector-scanning system and field scanning in which a whole surface of the exploded plane is scanned according to a raster-scanning system.

    Abstract: The optical recording medium has main data recorded on a recording track that has been formed in advance along the track direction, and the recorded data are read out by optical system. Frame synchronising signals based on the same format as the main data format are recorded in advance for each frame that serves as a data recording unit utilising the displacement in the direction of width of the recording track itself, whereby the frame synchronism is easily obtained and the constitution is simplified as a result of using the synchronising circuit in common. The data to be recorded in advance by displacing the track itself in the direction of width include frame synchronising signal as well as any reproduction-only data, in order to increase the recording capacity of the disk. The circuit constitution is simplified by using in common the reproducing circuit for reproducing frame synchronising signals of main data recorded in the track direction of the recording track and the reproducing circuit for reproducing frame synchronising signals of the same format as the main data in the data recorded being displaced in the direction of track width.

    Abstract: Apparatus is provided for forming a three-dimensional structure by sequentially laminating hard resin layers by repeatedly irradiating the surface of a liquid photosetting resin (A) with a light beam in a pattern corresponding to the pattern of one of a plurality of parallel decomposed planes obtained by slicing an optional stereographic image and then spreading another layer of resin over the hard resin layer. To obtain an accurate pattern the beam diameter needs to be constant requiring a uniform layer thickness and accurate level control. To achieve this the main tank (2) of the apparatus includes a lead control system comprising a supply tank (8), means to supply resin from the supply tank to the main tank at a rate such that it overflows a wall portion (9) of tank and means to return the overflow to the supply tank. The overflow may be drawn off by suction. The level may be further adjusted by lowering into the tank, a bar controlled by a laser level sensor.
