Abstract:
A relaxation station for inducing user relaxation includes a sleeve with a reclining surface attached to said frame for accommodating a limb of a user. The sleeve has a plurality of preferably pairs of massage grippers connected to and extending generally upward therefrom. These massage gripper pairs are elongated members projecting generally upward from the sleeve and the gripper pairs are capable of moving reciprocally between an open and a closed position to simulate finger manipulated massage. In a closed position, they cradle and contact the body or a portion thereof of a user. These massage gripper pairs having motive actuators for producing movement between said open and said closed positions, such as scissors extenders or flexible cables The massage gripper elongated members produce massage motions in at least one massage contact pad. The contact pads preferably have a temperature regulator and a dry hydrotherapy supply for enhancing the relaxation of a user and to simulate human massage.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a cushion for relieving fatigue and reforming a sleeping position. The cushion includes a cylindrical sponge, and first, second and third driving motors placed in the sponge to apply vibrations to a user. A controller controls the first, second and third driving motors to generate the vibrations. The cushion also has a cylindrical plastic frame having open ends so that one end of the sponge is fixed in the frame, and an inner cover covers the sponge and first and second molded bodies of the frame. A vessel receiving a battery is inserted into an end of the frame, and a cap covers an opening of the vessel and is equipped with an input unit and a display unit of the controller. An aromatic case is mounted to the cap and has an aromatic material therein for releasing the aroma, and an outer cover covers the inner cover and the frame. A warming or cooling sheet, having pockets sewn on an internal surface thereof to accommodate hot or cold packs, is detachably (mounted to an external surface of the outer cover for emitting warmth or coolness. The user lies on his or her side while wrapping the arms and legs around the cushion or holds the legs on the cushion, whereby the spine of the user becomes straight and blood circulation is improved, thus reforming the sleeping position and recovering from fatigue.

A multi-stimuli chair is provided for upright seated use. Stimuli, including light, color, sound, aroma, magnetic field, and vibration are provided by the chair to the user. The chair is compact, portable, and easily fittable through standard doorways.
Abstract:
A portable facial vaporizing device comprising first and second opposing fabric sections joined together along a bottom edge thereof and at adjacent portions of back and front edges thereof to form an interior pocket adapted to contain a volume of hot water. A hanging arrangement is disposed on upper back portions of said fabric portions for supporting said device on a spigot of a bath or sink such that hot water leaving said spigot will flow into said interior pocket and form a contained volume of hot water therein. At least a major portion of upper edges of said fabric portions are unjoined or free and thus form an opening for admitting and surrounding the face of a person using the device such that the person's face is exposed solely to warm vapors from said volume of hot water in said interior pocket. A disposable version may be formed from an inexpensive fabric. The device may be used for aromatherapy by placing an essential oil in the interior pocket to combine vapors therefrom with the warm water vapors bathing the user's face.

Abstract:
A shower-sauna apparatus includes an electrically insulative container for accomodating a volume of water to be heated. A vertical central tube extends through the container and has a threaded upper end adapted to be connected to a source of water and a threaded lower end through which steam or hot water is discharged into a sauna-shower area defined by a flexible curtain suspended from a flat dish-shaped member secured to the threaded lower end of the central tube and defining the top wall of the sauna-shower area. A plurality of spaced, tubular electrode plates are disposed in the container and are adapted to be connected to an electric power source for passage of electric current through the water between the plates to generate Joule heat for automatically and instantaneously heating the volume of water to enable generation of either steam or hot water. The central tube is divided by a stopper into an upper water inlet portion and a lower steam or hot water outlet portion. A water control valve is provided to regulate the rate of water flow into the container and thus control the generation of steam or the temperature to which the water is heated. A shower head can be either attached directly to the lower end of the control tube or connected thereto by a flexible hose. A check valve prevents generated steam from exiting through the upper end of the central tube. Alternatively, a dish filled with aromatic or medicinal herbs can be connected to the hose when steam is to be delivered to the sauna-shower area.
