    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for mixing and applying a bead of material. For example, the bead of material can be used to seal gaps cracks and seams of a building. The apparatus includes a supply machine and an applicator. The supply machine provides each of the parts of the material to the applicator at a controlled rate. The applicator mixes the parts of the material at a nozzle. The applicator provides a bead (rather than spraying) of the mixed material through the nozzle. The bead of material may be applied in a precise manner to seal gaps, cracks and seams of an existing building and/or the bead may be provided during new construction of a building between components of the building.

    Abstract: A liquid dispenser gun (14) for mixing first and second liquid components of a two-component mixture (11) and dispensing the two-component mixture (11) includes a gun body (78), a mixing manifold (82), and a nozzle plate (84).     Abstract: A system for applying sealant material from a cartridge includes a cartridge fixture storing a plurality of cartridges each cartridge including unique identification information and containing sealant material, a cartridge robot for removing a selected one of the cartridges from the fixture, and a dispense robot for receiving the selected cartridge from the cartridge robot and applying the sealant material contained therein to a workpiece.     Abstract: A system of pointillist painting comprises an automated 3-D positioning system disposed proximate a painting surface, a colorant dispenser coupled to the gantry structure and having a dispensing tip in fluid communication with a colorant chamber, the gantry structure operable to move the colorant dispensing tip to a specified position of the painting surface, where the colorant dispenser is operable to apply a specified amount of a colorant to the painting surface and creating a dot having a two-dimensional coverage and three-dimensional profile at the specified position. The colorant dispenser further comprises a piston disposed in the colorant chamber, and a push rod coupled to the piston operable to advance the piston toward the dispensing tip to exude the specified amount of colorant onto the painting surface. The system further includes an air nozzle coupled to the colorant dispensing tip operable to direct pressurized air to modify at least one of the two-dimensional coverage and three-dimensional profile of the colorant dot on the painting surface.

    Abstract: A two-component resin or adhesive dispensing system including an air drive motor with adjustable settings which drives, by means of sprocket and chain drive systems, an activator metering pump and an adhesive metering pump as to provide a dispenser with adjustable amounts of activator material and adhesive material.
